Steps to follow if you haven't played BioShock yet.

1.) Go out and buy it.

2.) If you don't have a 360 or compatible PC, go out and buy a 360 or compatible PC.

I have a 360, I am waiting to see if I can still score the LE of Bio Shock. If not I'll get the regular game this weekend. Since it's a must have game and my 360 needs to be turned on, since it hasn't been in like 3 months.

Riviera got hella tough after the intro chapter. I have no clue how someone gets an S-rank on these battles.

Playing:
--Bioshock
--Persona 3
--Electroplankton
--just bought Planet Puzzle League today
I've discovered I can play Guitar Hero behind my head.

Already the 6th thread.

Seems like it was just yesterday Chacrana and I were scheming through PM's a way to make a Gaming thread and not have it get locked

Currently:

The Darkness (360)

- just bought the game for bout $25 and its fun but when u die, its too flashy and annoying ;)

In Line to play:

- ShadowRun (360)
- BioShock (360)
Ah, good times. And it looks like the thread worked out in that we can have relatively fanboy/moron free discussions.
Looks like I am not allowed any more

*ahem*

I'll second the BioShock love. It's amazing. I'm still very much looking forward to Prime 3, but man, I wasn't following BS at all and now it just came out of nowhere for me. Very cool.

I'm interestd to be playing Prime 3 and BS side-by-side (with school no less!) and compare/contrast what is surely two labors of love for their respective developers.

2). I own a 360, but I'm buying Eternal Sonota, Blue Dragon, and PGR4 before it. Also, I'm mostly broke right now and can't afford many video games. I'm debating about selling off rare games to make some money right now.

I played some Need for Speed Carbon today. About to play something on PSP, not sure yet.

finally got teh bioshocks. but, I just got off work and I'm pretty tired, so I think I'm going to take a nap, then play bioshock when it's more appropriate, at night time.

Playing all the extra dungeons and stuff in FFX now. I want to complete it before Starting Persona 3. I'm $100 towards a new 360 and bioshock. Hope to have one by the time halo 3 comes out. I'll buy no more games except Metroid Prime 3 until that happens!

Going to trade-in a ton of PS2/Xbox/GCN games towards Bioshock tomorrow, hopefully I'll have a bit of extra credit to put towards Halo 3.

:bomb: My brother just called to tell me he bought a 360 tonight. I've been wanting one since around January and in the past couple of weeks he decided he would buy one once the price drop took effect. What pisses me off is I should be able to buy one right now but I've loaned out money to friends and family and I'm not getting paid back very fast.

My plan of action once I get one is to buy a wireless bridge and live off of demos for awhile. Once I turn 18 this fall, I'm going to try to get some free games and accessories for it from those freebie websites. I need to be 18 so I can have a debit card or a paypal account or whatever they require to signup for the offers.

Anyway, I started Ico yesterday.

Spent most of the day buying crap, then got home and started playing said crap....2nd Big Daddy on Bioshock, boss dude in first painting of Castlvania: Portrait of Ruin, and first time you get to use the overworld map on Jeanne D'arc.

How long did Bioshock take you, and did you rush, or do you feel you experienced most everything the game had to offer?

About 17 hours. I didn't rush at all. I rescued all the Little Sisters and did a lot of exploring. Next play through I'll focus on finding the stuff I missed on hard difficulty.

Played about 2 hours of Bioshock. Then played a co-worker in Madden 08, he quit when it was tied 7-7, lol. Then I played the skate. demo, eh controls are not my cup of tea.

Might play some Luminous Arc before I go to sleep. SRPG with good graphics, voice-acting, a good story, fun accessible gameplay, and wi-fi. I really love how the story evolves, its an awesome game. I brought the DS Lite to work the past few days and whipped out whenever I got a chance. Game is all kinds of good and the fact that you can't play wi-fi until the 13th chapter is good motivation.

You know how you sometimes read posts about how games make people appreciate certain game genres? Whenever I try RPG's I can never get into them, I could just never get into traditional turn-based RPG's but Luminous is something else.

That sounds great. I'll have to pick that up along with Jeanne d'Arc sometime this week.

Right now Im still working on Hoshigami Remix and Stella Deus. Hoshigami could have been a great game if it weren't so damn difficult.

Ahem..TOLD YA.

Played Persona 3 today, like I usually do.

Date: 11/18
Tartarus: 185th floor
Level: 55
Play Time: 38 hours

I'm loving this game so much, it pains me that we will probably never see FES here.

Once I'm done, I'll finally open up my sealed copy of Bioshock. Should be a couple more days, I'm not sure, P3 is much longer than I expected.

sat down to play a few hours of BioShock and ended up playing a few hours of Space Giraffe.
Ahem..TOLD YA..
Never said it wasn't going to be. Just that, at the time, I was too cheap to buy it and Prime 3. ;) I opted to not be cheap and just get both.

The question now is, can I have both of them beaten by the time Halo 3 hits or not?

Luminous Arc really isnt that great.

- Standard, by the books story (so far, I'm only chapter 15?)
- The script writing could be better. Having to interject "anyway" to bridge unrelated pieces of conversation the way they do it is poor form.
- Battle system lacks depth (no attacks that push people off their tiles, no significant increase of ranged weapons or magic with height)
- Touch Screen mode disables all buttons, which is retarded
- Touch Screen mode for some reason doesnt let you select everything you want to sometimes.
- Second screen isnt made good use of. Showing a full, persistent stats of the person you are issuing commands to isnt all that useful mid-battle. You end up fidgeting through menus as much as a single screen game.

Its not bad, but its FFTA lite at best. Naturally I turned the voice acting off immediately - not because its bad, but I dont like voice acting.

Woo! I hit the Jackpot in slots in Persona 1 after just over 10,000 rounds. The odds of a royal flush are 1 in over 600,000. I had been listening to audio books to pass the time.
just playing some tmnt on live. anyone want to play? there are two spots open in my party.
I have 400 points to use up, and I considered buying the game. ;)

just got FFX from gamefly so I'm just starting that.
Also got to finish Resistance single player.

I still haven't picked up Persona 3. Hmm... maybe I'll do that and then start it once I move into school again. The chances of me not liking the game are basically zero.

gaming was pretty slim tonight. I picked up riviera: the promised land for $9.99 at GS and played a little bit, other than that grinded away at FFIII for a little bit and now I'm fixing to head to bed.

Finished Resistance then hopped online real quick to get a taste.

The last two levels kinda disappointed. I wanted more awesome.

Picking up Bio Shock today for the weekend after work. It shall be the first time my 360 will be turned on in 3 months, so I hope it doesn't dissapoint.
