According to the ASIRRA web site, 500 failed challenges from a single IP on a single day.

However, it does not indicate if time-outs are also considered 'failed challenges' and with the sessions timing out at 4 minutes, you could get hit for walking away while the puzzle is loading.

You only have to pass 12.5 ASIRRA challenges per account per day (to get 1000 tickets) so failing 500 times is unlikely to happen, and thus should not affect most people.

However, if there are lots of people on that same IP (think college dorm, office building, apartments, WiFi hotspot), then it is possible that one IP could be shared by lots of Club Bing members, which could be compounded even more if they have more than one active account.
12.5 a day? I get 10 challenges a day (one per 100 tickets).
12.5 a day? I get 10 challenges a day (one per 100 tickets).
Possibly. You get a challenge for every 4 games, so if you only play Flexicon, then yes, you will only 10 challenges a day.

I was basing my numbers off the anagrams games (which only give 20 tickets per game).

I guess you could get also get as many as 125 challenges if you were max'ing your account(s) using the Banana game... :whistle2:#
Guys, I'm freaking out right now...

I ordered a Habu mouse on one of my two backup accounts on 10/29 last year. The 12-week mark was yesterday (1/19), and I still haven't received my prize or a shipping email. Does anyone think that my backup account might be flagged? Or have I just not gotten my prize because the Habu mouse is backordered (my tickets still haven't been refunded)? Should I email Bing about my order, or would that bring too much attention to myself (I think my main account is still legit with them)?

I have two accounts linked to that possibly flagged address and a total of six prizes between them were ordered from October to December (Habu mouse, Sony picture camera, snuggie, wireless 360 headset, mobile charger, and Windows controller). None of those prizes were shipped, and I haven't gotten any emails for them either. I'm really hoping that that address hasn't been blacklisted. What to do...what to do? :???: :pray:
So, guys, IF I decide to contact Club Bing, is the email: [email protected] ?

Or is it another email? Did ANYONE get a Habu mouse after they were put back up last October? Or am I the only one still waiting on one? :whistle2:k

Ah that makes sense then.

And the snuggie was removed. I was 500 tickets away from getting it and it's gone. :cry:

Maybe it will come back again. We have an actual Snuggie and the one from Bing. The Bing one seems much nicer -- except for the fact that it has Bing written on it =/

To sender? It should simply been have returned to the UPS center, you just need to drive out and pick it up. Or at least that what I remember hapenning to a lot of other users, it hasn't personally happened to me.

nope got returned to shipper. today was the final attempt.

i thought they would hold it for 5 days after today, thats how i understood it. i even called the place about 3pm and told her...gave her tracking number...she specifically said she would make a note for them to hold it because i said i was gonna pick it up tonight(7pm-9pm was the hours to pick it up). she said she was certain it would be there. also called the number on the back of the UPS slip, typed in the number for the package, and the automated response was that the warehouse would hold the package for 5 days for me to pick it up.

went there tonight and guy said it wasn't there, was returned to sender. came home and checked tracking and latest update was

01/22/2010 9:17 P.M. DEPARTURE SCAN
01/22/2010 7:13 P.M. ADULT SIGNATURE REQUIRED TO SIGN FOR THIS PKG; NOT DELIVERED. / RETURNED TO SHIPPER

hmm i was there at about 8:20 and it must have been there...i should have made that guy look for it!

it was just a gift but still im sorta pissed :bomb: they didnt even give me 1 day to pick it up! :bomb: they could have ATLEAST waited til monday to return it to shipper, to give me a chance to come get it! TOTAL FAIL on UPS' part and a semi fail by me.

They gave you 3 days to be there, I'd say the FAIL is on your part. Sucks either way, as a heads up some CAGs have put a note on their door giving permission to leave a package and its worked (yes for signature required packages).

yes that is why i noted i failed, but they are supposed to keep the package for 5 days. it even says on their automated phone system. they didn't even keep it for 1 day.

I'm one of the few people that doesn't mind having "Bing" on whatever product I receive from them. Just as long as I don't buy something in an actual store and it has Bing on it, then I'd have a problem.

But yeah, I do hope it comes back. And not in blue either.

I can assure you that your case is not "normal". I used to see many, many, many packages in the tracker that missed the 3rd attempt and UPS would even send the person a post card...

Recent examples:

- 1Z665F334202937000 - bad address, sending post card;
- 1Z665F334202937046 - failed 3rd delivery, holding for Will Call pickup;
- 1Z665F334202945386 - failed 3rd delivery, sending post card;
- 1Z665F334202945126 - failed 3rd delivery, sending post card;
- 1Z665F334202921562 - receiver moved, sending post card, returned a week later.

And, the list goes on and on and on...

I have no idea why UPS was in such a hurry to return your package to Arvato/Bing. :roll:

Two controllers of mine were returned to Bing after they tried to deliver them to my sister 3 times. UPS never sent the postcard as I was hoping I could just go there and pick them up or reschedule a delivery.

ya what then happened? they refunded ur points?

i emailed them and begged them to send it back lol, but i got a feeling they are just gonna refund me the tickets.
I want Xboxs again

or Zunes

or even Windows 7s

the stuff up there now is junk compared to that list
An xbox and the zune are a possibility. The windows 7, not so much.

They sell student upgrades for $30 for Windows 7 so it's not like it would be too much of a loss, even when considering an XBox is a couple hundred dollars.

One important thing though is that those 360s sent out were refurbs. With all the 360s failing Microsoft ended up with a huge inventory of bad 360s. Microsoft was stuck with them because they were flawed, so it's not like they've really "spent" much on giving them out for Club Bing.

They spend a few bucks on refurbishing the units in which a user contributed thousands of searches (which may translate to more revenue for them than a brand new 360) and they clear out "bad" inventory at the same time. Furthermore, when those 360s inevitably fail again, that person will most likely send it in for repair or buy another 360. Pretty clever idea.

So who knows if we'll ever see them bring a 360 back up; there's far less failing units for them to repair.

Yeah I emailed them too and they sent me this:

We are corresponding with you in regards to your recent Club Bing prize being returned to our warehouse. Your prizes (listed below) have been returned to our warehouse and tickets have been reissued to your account for immediate use in our prize mall. Please allow 24 hours for the tickets to become available on your account.

Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows 4500 tickets refunded
Xbox 360 Wireless Controller - 4500 tickets refunded

I used those to just get the hard drive instead.
I hope they put another Zune up. I need a new MP3 player.

Anyone remember how many points it was before?
It's been listed at a few different amounts. It started at 20k a few years ago and hit 38,500 at the highest. Right before they took it off I believe they discounted it down to somewhere in the low 30k range, probably to move them out quickly.
Seriously, has anyone gotten the chip clip? I'm just curious if they really thought that was something people wanted.
i would get it if it was 20 tickets

lol
Seriously, has anyone gotten the chip clip? I'm just curious if they really thought that was something people wanted.
I would, but my chips will already be stale by the time it gets here
I dont no what do order next?

any ideas?
Hopefully something good will come up.
Can anyone attest to the quality of the Sony Headphones?
I got the Sony Headphones for christmas, and they're definitely good. They cancel out most static noise i.e. cars WHOOOSSSHHHINNNGG by, and they can near drown out other people, even with my ipod's volume on medium.

Only takes one AAA, and everything is pretty solid

They're also pretty comfortable and cushy :)

great buy :)

Oh wow, it actually employs phase cancellation? I learned about that last year in Physics, hah. I thought they just cancelled out the noise by being big around the ears and stuff, so much for that.

SO I presume you could still use the headphones without batteries, you'd just have to give out the phase cancellation technoloogy?

Yup, they work just fine without batteries. Some of the reviews I've read say the insulation is pretty good so they block out quite a bit of noise that way. I don't have them, I've been on the fence about ordering. I'd like a new set of on ear headphones, but these aren't exactly what I'm looking for.
