[customspoiler=Basic FAQ]
-Basic Info/Overview
For those that don't know Club Nintendo is Nintendo's loyalty program of sorts. When you buy a Nintendo Console/Handheld, or a Nintendo published game, you get a pin that you can enter online to earn points. These points can then be redeemed for games, accesories, and collectable items. If you earn enough points in a Club year (300 for gold and 600 for platinum, which each have their own reward), you also receive a free bonus only available to a select few. You can read the full list of eligible titles, as well as their point value, here.

-How do I get coins for digital purchases?
In order to earn coins on any digital games you purchase on Wii/WiiU/3DS/DSi, you will first need to link you Club Nintendo account to your system. Instruction for doing so can be found here.

-Can I play the Wii games on my Wii-U?
Yes, but as of now, only in Wii mode. Native Wii U support might be added later on, but will most likely require the typical $1-$1.50 fee to transfer over.

-How do I play Wii games on Wii U
You will need to enter Wii mode on your Wii U. Instructions on doing so can be found http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wiiu/en_na/features_wii_menu.jsp?menu=wii_shop&submenu=wup-wiishop-ht-redeem-code"]here[/url].

- If I don't spend coins for the entire year long period, do they carry over?
Yes, you can keep your coins past the Club Nintendo year they are redeemed in. However they only count toward gold or platinum status for the Nintendo year (june 31st-july 1st) they are redeemed in. After two years old points do expire, so make sure to spend them before then. You can check Coin balance information while, logged in, at the top of the page.

- Is there a list of previous rewards for people who accumulated a lot of coins? Similar to Square Enix's Ultimate Tier?
The extra rewards for Club Nintendo are for those that accumulate enough points to hit Gold or Platinum status (300 and 600 points, respectively). If you reach the required number of points in a year, Nintendo will automatically send you your reward, with no cost to you or your points.

- Does the list of eligible games update as the games come out or on some sort of schedule?
The list will be updated before the game comes out, do to things like Pre-Purchase bonus points. Any game you can buy, should already be on the list and able to redeem.

- When do they typically announce the prizes for Gold and Platinum?
Generally at the end of a Club Nintendo year, but don't expect it anytime soon. Usually it will take at least several months for them to ship it out.

- Is there anyway to enter multiple copies of the same game or device?
They have an option in the settings to make your account a family account, which means it can have sub-accounts that allows you to register multiple copies of games. The coins from all the sub-accounts all end up in the same main account coin collection.

- How does the site show what balance of coins you have to spend versus your total towards Gold/Platinum?
At the top right of the screen you can see the coin counter. The big number is your total coin amount, and the bar underneath is your progress to gold or platinum status. The number needed to advance is displayed directly above said bar. Redeeming your coins does not affect this counter, as it is only reset at the end of the year.

- How can I tell if a code is valid without redeeming it?
If you want to check if a code has already been registered, without registering it yourself, all you need to do is try entering the code while you are logged out. It will tell you the name of the game, as well as how many points it is worth, without activating it.[/customspoiler]

Let me know if I missed anything or if something breaks!

Why does America's Test Kitchen still give 20 coins and Bowser's Inside Story gives 0?

I mean I have four sealed copies of ATK still so I guess that's fine.
I registered Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn this morning and it originally told me that it was ineligible for coins. Ten minutes later I checked my "To Do" list and I had a product registration survey for it. I can't imagine Bowser's Inside Story doesn't yield coins anymore

Ok seems like there going to be a lot of craziness over the next few months with this so quick question for everyone?

I just made a new thread with a very detailed OP but havent hit submit button yet with the new rewards listed and all the info about the closing of CN and rewards info and all that in the OP so we dont get the same questions over and over in a thread since it probably get clutthered in posts fast and can post the new rewards as soon as they are up as well as additional news about CN closing as nintendo update everyone can be constantly updated in the OP.

So should i go ahead and post it? i only as since i noticed this one hasnt been updated since early November and noticed squirrel havent even been online since Dec 3rd.

Anyone having issues submitting post-play surveys? I tired to get one through but the page showed up where it said something like, "Sorry we can't process your survey."
Yup same with me, I just did 3 and when they finished i received an error for 2.

I just hope they bring back mario party 2 so i can download it. I have 1000 coins doing nothing. Stupid nintendo.

Nah, FE is still on the list but Bowser's Inside Story isn't.

Have 710 points that I've never used. Have yet to get anything since nothing is of worth to me. Hopefully w/ the new program they will offer more physical offerings and maybe non indie / retro titles.

Site getting fucked up like this is a sign it should probably be put down.
Probably everybody rushing to put the codes in now to amass all the points possible because we all believe NoA when they say "limited" after the Majora's Mask/Amiibo scandals. Who knows what they will offer next month for those of us who have been sitting on thousands of points for a long time, and have been sitting on even more codes.

Seems like it would've been a better PR move to announce Club Nintendo's successor before announcing its beheading.
It's Nintendo of America. Reggie Fils-Aime seems to be out of touch with the customers. I would say the same for Iwata but class move for him when he voluntary took a paycut in order for his employees to still have a job after reporting money loss. (Unlike CEOs in this country)

I think it's time for Iwata and Reggie to GTFO.

What scandal? Them being limited in stock?

This isn't the first time the site's acted screwy. It's a constant problem.

I don't know if it matters, but I was able to register 3 games today with no problems through the Wii U browser.

My shirt came today. Pretty cool, though I kind if wish it said Club Nintendo on the arm like it has NES Remix 2 on the other.

They'll charge 3000 points too as a big FU.

My guess is they have a handful of each of the previous CN prizes that were never shipped out for whatever reason even though they went out of stock on the site and will put them all up at once to clear out their warehouse.  hanafudu cards, I'm looking at you.  For 2000 points this time.

Exactly what I mean, they never brought it back. I think 2013 was the last year and I got backpack with random stuff in it.
Oh ok, I was gonna say .... they never had it again after they canceled it without much notice and didn't even give their members anything for that year....

Well it was fun while it lasted for me. I am only 70 coins shy of the required 600 for platinum for this year. I will be getting Majora's Mask when it comes out so that should get me pretty close. But I noticed a lot of people have codes they have yet to redeem. Does someone perhaps have 1 or 2 codes they could pass my way to ensure I reach the goal? Thanks!

I don't really get the concern aside from people who won't be able to get Platinum in time (and the games may not even be that good).  If they do add"dozens" of items, it'll be prime time to cash out on coins.  I'm actually pretty excited to see what they add, crossing my fingers they magically bring back that gold nunchuck.

According to Nintendo "1/20/2015 Products released after this date are not eligible for registration with Club Nintendo". Gonna have to find something else.

Looks like I'll be asking friends and family for their unused Club Nintendo codes. I really hope the rewards for Plat this year doesn't disappoint (or at least have a game that I would want to play.)
I'm predicting NES Remix 2 as one of the platinum rewards.

Well, this is a little depressing.

Now I don't feel quite as inclined to buy Nintendo games in new condition, to boot, since I won't have to worry about missing out on a code. I hope they know what they're doing (and to be honest, I doubt it).

Wasn't too keen on the Mario / Pikmin case, but got one early this before they sold out.  Only case I'm missing is the reissue of the first one that included an Animal Crossing insert.  I'm hoping they do a Pokemon case as part of the final blowout.  I could fill 2 of them with just my Pokemon 3/DS carts and have a leftover.

Darn you're right, forgot that little detail...Well I still need 70 coins...so if someone has 2 codes they can spare please let me know! Thanks!

That would be amazing. Won't happen though, the Pikmin case had covers that JPN got ages ago.

Hoping the pins or luigi statue make a miraculous return.

Already got the gold nunchuck, hanafuda cards, Mario ds game case, two 3ds game cases, and a reversible pouch.

so my dilemma right now is whether I get Super Metroid & Punch-Out VC games (two games I actually want), and then pay the $1.50 to upgrade each to Wii U....or...do I wait until February or whatever and see what Nintendo offers for me to dump my coins?  I'm only out $3 for two classics that I enjoy, but I'll be pissed if they offer a huge list of choices next month for me to choose from.

I logged in today to website just fine. (To check my balance)

But seriously, are people actually crashing the CN website right now? Nintendo didn't say they're shutting everything down this instant.
