Note that the GOTY version does not include any of the new maps anymore.
If you find better deals with the regular edition, go for it instead.

Just a FYI. I bought the GoTY edition from Bestbuy last year maybe and the advertised token for the extra maps was not included. I don't see it listed on the amazon page but that's what I thought was the difference with the GoTY edition.

same thing happend to me too when i got the GOTY edition. popped it open and thought i was missing the token. a poster on amazon said that the map pack code was originally included but later removed. i guess its just activision squeezing a couple more bucks out of loyal fans.

agree with the earlier commenter about just getting the standard edition and paying for the maps with "cheap" points.
 
they stopped making the "standard" version when the GOTY edition was released, so IF you do still find anything other than the GOTY edition, it's been sitting around somewhere for well over a year and a half...

and as far as people complaining that the code for the map pack didn't come with copy of the GOTY edition that they got, IW clearly said that the offer was for a limited time only, which i believe was for about 6 months or so. so it's the same deal with that, meaning that if you can still find one with the sticker saying the map pack code is included, it's been sitting around somewhere for about a year or longer...

Exactly. Misleading title (of game) is still misleading.
 
I'm with most people here: it's not your fault but you should probably remove GOTY from the title, or put the "No Maps" info into the first post.

A lot of people got burned when they started to remove that token, effectively making it the same as the non-goty.
 
Off topic: Just curious, what about the ps3 version? cause I saw a frys thread that has this game for $19. Does the ps3 version have the new maps or is it gone too.
