COD: Black Ops Hardened Edition - $19.99 @ TRU In-Store - YMMV

Thavron

CAGiversary!
Was browsing the B2G1 section on the website and this caught my eye. I'm not sure if anybody will be able to find it in their local stores, but it's a great price if you do.

I'm not sure if TRU PM's their online prices in-store, so if not, this thread may be totally pointless.

*Edit - Just called my local store and they said they would honor online pricing for this, however there were none in stock. =[

This is extremely YMMV, I looked into stores in three states outside of mine(I live in PA) and couldn't find one with a copy in stock. That being said if anyone finds an extra copy or is looking to trade one, pm me. Thanks for the post as well.

Noticed this a few days back, went to my local (not local at all....) store and they had none.
How do you check availability?
TRU's stock checker is non-existent (lazy bastards) so you gotta either go to the store, or call up and hope that A) you don't get put on hold for centuries and B ) there's someone competent enough in the electronics department to know wtf you're talking about. I'd be in for 1 too.

I have been to 2 retail stores and a video store that when somebody calls and asks if something is in stock the say hold on please and pick the phone up a couple minutes later and say "sorry its not in stock or not here"
My point calling is ALMOST worthless.

C) then that competent person isn't a gamer or even know much about games. Cause if they do then it definitely won't be there when you get in.

I wonder if people do this everytime I call in somewhere that is a bit far.

If it's a good deal and the associate knows anything about it being a deal. Yes.

I've been in store and asked them to check stock on an item and they would outright lie to my face. I learned to go to CS and find a person that looks like they know nothing about what I want to purchase then ask them to check stock.

Don't bother. The odds of you finding one are insanely small. This has been sold out everywhere for about 8 months. Every now and then a random copy might show up but don't hold your breath.

Thanks for the response. The closest TRU is 20-25 miles away, and I never find anything in particular that I'm looking for when I go there.
