Update 3/21: Out now

Damn, too late for me as I traded it in ($38) for Fight Night Round 3; mainly for it's weak multiplayer options of not being able to create a custom game:cry:

Oh well, thanks for the info though OP.

I can't think of a new insult for him copying from teamxbox again, he's done it too many times today. But YAY for the patch, maybe i'll actually play the damn game now!

Why is it too many times? Who, but you, gives a shit?

It's good to have topics with Xbox 360 news in this board, allowing for discussion on mentioned-topics.

Unless he doesn't give credit to the source, why would it be a problem? Thank you for the info Linkin! COD 2 is a great game but if they fix the multiplayer it takes it to another level.

I thought they were going to up the players in match too? weak.

Why is everyone saying "too bad GRAW comes out soon".. two completely different genres, and it's not that hard to play both games.

I'm still interested in this even with GRAW coming out. I prefer the GRAW type of game more, but after the more realistic type of shooter like that I enjoy the less realistic and more chaotic nature of something like COD2. I have a lot more interest in it being good than I do Battlefield 2, with its fight for territory nature.

Even with GRAW coming out, this is still *the* XBox 360 FPS. It will be nice once this game is all set to go so I can play it as a side game of GRAW, and I don't think Battlefield 2 is going to cut it, and It's going to be awhile before we see Halo 3.
Yeah... GRAW but Battlefield 2 the next week. Tough choices.
Shitty EA port with shined up graphics or a team dedicated to bringing you hit after hit? Not a tough choice at all dude.

Agreed. I was very dissappointed with the early look of GRAW - which looked like an EA port job. It's come a long way and looks great now. Can't wait.

How is COD 2 less realistic than GRAW?

The Ghost Recon games are by nature a tad more realistic - although I think their level of realism is somewhat overhyped. Regardless...just off the top of my head, I don't think you'll be seeing a Master Chief-armored soldier in GRAW like you do in CoD2 - referring to the fact you can get shot a bunch, hide for 5 seconds, be fine, and charge back out into the fight.

Every game needs a limit to the realism, cause in real life a bullet will severly injure you. So, I see it pointless to argue on a games realistic factor, but more on how good and fun it is. I dont really know what im tyring to say.

Others have stated it pretty much, but do a versus game of both and see how many shots you can take in COD and you'll see what I mean.

I'd say the co-op missions also give a bit more sense of reality than COD's campaign also. Though the sense of chaos in COD is good and better than anything Ghost Recon does.

I'm not even talking about the charge up health because I like that part of COD. Also, I didn't mean to criticize COD if that's how it came off, they're just different styles of games.

Eastside,

The realism is part of the fun that's why it is worth discussing.

Word of mouth around the net states that the patch is out. Some have confirmed. I cant really say for sure yet, I wont be home for another hour and a half. Can anyone check this out?

they really blew it with the patch imo...they waited to long, they had a ton of gamers at there fingertips and they let them go
I can confirm that the patch is out. I dont know if it fixes the lag, but you can now set up a custom lobby!
Thank you!

Updated OP and Title.

Now I wish Perfect Dark could get its updates out so I could determine which one I'd rather get rid of, but with some of the trade-in deals I think Perfect Dark is going to be gone and I'll keep this since the patch is ready.

i own graw and cod2. still like cod2's first person and multiplayer better. only played graw twice so far. maybe the cheat codes will make it more fun.

Ghost Recon is friggin' awesome but COD2 is still the pure FPS. Now with this patch this game is actually playable over Live without all the frustration, even with Fary Cry by the end of the month I can get back into this.

Lol, first match, I got Connection Inturrupted, but after that, everything was fine.

Edit: And BTW, they broked Player Matches, and you can't invite friends to Ranked matches. Also, you only go back to a game lobby if its a private game, and I haven't seen anything regarding Reserved slots.

You could never invite friends to ranked matches,

It's still a POS online game after the fix.

Created a public game, no one was matched into my lobby in 10 minutes. Every non-ranked game, disconnected from server. Entered 2 ranked games 8 checked in, game ended up being 4 on 1. The second, dropped from server.

Don't hold your breath folks hoping this one is fixed. It doesn't look much better than it was.

I've gone back to the lobby after exiting a regular ranked match....but not every time. It's flaky. Player matches is definitely fucked though.

Way to go, Infiinty Ward! One step forward, two steps back.

Is it another download or did they fix it at the server?
