CoD4: What maps do you skip?
I've grown to like it the more I've played it. The mounted machine guns suck but I'm getting better at playing it.

I've started to dislike Overgrown more and more, though. On Domination, the flags are unevenly exposed. Usually, A and C are equally exposed, with B being the toughest to get and defend. On Overgrown, A and B are too exposed, so if you start near A, you're stuck with a very difficult flag to defend, while C is clear across the map with many places to defend from.
Though, on Overgrown, B is slightly closer to and easier to get to from A than from C, so a decent team should be able to get both A and B from the start. This is assuming they don't pull the typical stupid Domination tactic where the entire team waits at A/C for free points before moving on.

I think the remaining five maps are Vacant, Countdown, Pipeline, Crossfire, and District.

This is one reason I want to play Domination with a team rather than random players. It doesn't make any sense for me to try to take B by myself while everyone else will just sits there on A and get 15 points while I get killed. To be honest, I think that points in Domination should be awarded like they are in HQ so that people don't try to get easy points (I do this too so I'm not complaining about it. It's the way the game is played. I just wish it were slightly altered to promote team play even more than it already does.)

Yeah, I agree. I've tried to take B solo before as well, but it's impossible to find both good cover and be able to shoot back at the same time. If they took away the points for team capturing, there'd still be incentive to capture points as a team (as capturing takes a lot less time with more people). I played one round of games with a guy who, somehow, rallied our team to collectively agree to put one man at A and five at B, and we won every game. It makes a big difference on maps like Vacant, where it usually takes an eternity to get B, and even longer to take it back (as it's easy to blanket B with an endless supply of grenades).

I prefer the Headquarters tactic of having two guys capturing (one as backup) and four providing cover, rather than the domination tactic of having two guys capture and the other four running as fast as they can for free points.

On some maps, like Strike, Bog and Showdown, I'll just charge B myself because it's so important to get it. There are times people will follow and we'll be in good shape for the rest of the game. Actually, B is almost always the most important point on the map...

What's your PSN name? We should play together some time. I'm phoenix_arnoud.

I didn't like Downpour much at first either. But a silenced weapon & UAV jammer on that stage are golden. Lots of spots to creep in.

I played a domination game there and got the flag in the greenhouse, then just lay in the bushes and take out the unsuspecting enemies as they are trying to take back the flag. Good for at least a couple kills at a time before anyone catches on.

Overgrown's almost too big IMO, but if you have a good team, it's a lot of fun.

My PSN name is suckinninja. It's especially funny when people try to throw insults at it. As for skill level, I'm decent, with the occasional good and bad day.

I did that on Vacant once. Got a pretty nice kill streak considering the fact that I was hiding in the same place every time. I guess no one thought that they should try to clear the room out with a grenade first, considering the fact that the same guy knifed them in the back the last three times they tried.

Perfect. I'm more good than bad but there are some days you'd swear I'd never played a game before. I don't do the k/d ratio thing. I just play to win. If that means I die 20 times trying to take that last flag, so be it.
