Coffea , Tea and Beer. Good recommendations for a beginning drinker?

Try Giddy Up, it beer brewed with espresso. You'll knock out 2 at once...and it not half bad. Also 1554, Pyramid (on tap), Duvel, Hobgobblin, and Hitachimo are all pretty good.

Why do you want to drink things that you don't like? If you happen to find something you like then go for it, but if you don't like coffee, tea, or beer there's no requirement that you should go out of your way to try to find some form of them that you do.

I don't particularly like coffee, so whenever I drink any derivative of it (for warmth or caffeine) it's the highly flavored and sugared shit - cheap french vanilla cappuccinos from 7-11 or something usually.

I don't like beer, so I don't drink it.

I like tea (Lipton, Nestea, whatever other big brands I've had), but it has to have some sugar or other flavoring at least, and I don't like hot tea as much as iced tea. I can stand plain iced tea and green tea, but it's much better with some sugar.

For the most part I just drink soda for my caffeine/sugar.

Somethings are just acquired tastes. But it's definitely a to each their own kind of thing with whether they want to bother.

I used to hate beer, particularly bitter beers like IPAs. But I drank them anyway through college with all the partying, and by the end I had acquired a taste for beer that's continued to adapt and expand.

Now I love bitter beers like IPAs, very strong beers like imperial stouts and barleywines that I couldn't stand to drink at all 5-10 years ago. And I drink them now because I like the taste, not to get drunk as I'm getting too old for that shit! :D

Anyway, it's just interesting how your palette can change and you can learn to truly enjoy new tastes over time. It's not a case of keep trying something you hate until you like it, but rather to just occasionally give a type of beer, coffee etc. another shot as you may find your tastes have changed. And it goes both ways, some times I'll try a beer I used to like and hadn't had for a few years and not really care for it anymore.

It's kind of a gradual thing I guess. You learn to like cheap lagers like Bud in college, then move on to stuff like Sam Adams, Bass, etc. that have more hops, tastes, bitterness etc. and then it keeps evolving from there.

"Heiniken!!.... fuck THAT SHIT!.... Pabst Blue RIBBON!" - Dennis Hopper...

I love Hoegarrden and Linenkugels Sunset Wheat for beer, and Miller Lite if I'm drinking fast and heavy...

but forget beer... drink WINE!

They're all good. Keep trying them all until you find a favorite. I'm a big fan of IPAs and Pale Ales but they're not for everyone.
