Colbert Testified to Congress

I thought it was hilarious personally, it's no more ridiculous than half the shit we've had in the last week or so. Plus he wasn't just joking around the entire time, he was sincere in some of what he said.

It seemed like a relevant and funny way to break the ice before the actual meeting. Sad to see a lot of the people there had no sense of humor. It wasn't hilarious but I'd be smiling if I was hearing something like that in that setting.

After hearing him speak I was impressed at how inarticulate the other guy was, I could barely understand what he was trying to say.

The only time I laughed was when the guy asked him to leave. He's not an expert on the subject matter and he bombed just like at the Bush dinner (forgot what event) a couple years back. I didn't see anybody there crack a smile.

WHy would anyone have laughed at the Bush dinner? He skewered everyone there, from the press to the government.

He was there advocating for rights for migrant workers. Can't see how this is a bad thing.

So they invited a comedian...not to make them laugh? If you are going to have a "comedian" take the floor, at least have them make a point and not do an amauteur's night performance. Government is a joke already, why not take these things seriously. Maybe Alec Baldwin can go next and fight for children's rights or camoor can fight for somebody to take him seriously.

How dare celebrities use their celebrity to advocate for the less fortunate. Stupid libruls should stick to their immoral acting.

In either case, I don't think the people in attendance were his actual intended audience.

You can rip me all day but Colbert still isn't funny. Besides he's a rich white Roman Catholic, come on where's your hate people?

His comedy show is doing quite well, it's even beating some of the comedies on Fox news. How do you explain that?

Millions of people think britney spears is a good singer, billions think mcdonalds has good hamburgers, millions think dancing with the stars is good television, millions think transformers 2 was great cinema, millions think monster energy drinks taste good, millions like getting fucked in the ass and so on. How do you explain those?

Just because someone doesnt like a comedian or something thats popular doesnt mean something is wrong with them. And you know that, you just want a chance to act like your somehow better or proving him he is wrong, or atleast prove him wrong in your little version of reality only you have access to.

Personally I dont think he is funny either. Gonna try and sandbag me also for my own personal taste? Good luck with that because I dont give a shit. I dont think he is funny so I dont watch him. But at the same time I dont run around trying to tell people who do like him they are stupid somehow.

I don't care about the other crap he has done, but he was hilarious as Phil Ken Sebben in Harvey Birdman.
