Common weights of games?

Alright, I'm getting sick of not having an auto-post office around so I'm going to just start printing postage at home. However, I was just wondering what everyone uses (if you don't have a scale) as weights for games. I know, I know it varies, but what's a good average?

From the few receipts I have around it seems full DVD cases with manuals and games are in the 6-8oz range. Anyone have a good number to use with PSP or DS games?

Thanks for the help!

DS games are like 3.3 ounces since post office rounds up its 4 ounces. I would imagine a psp game would be about the same.

I would always put it a point 1 higher than you think it is, because the last thing you need is the post office rejecting it for being to heavy.

I almost always put my complete GCN/PS2 games at 0.7 oz.

ahhh....
for some reason, both of you magically reduced the weight by 90%
(from 7 oz to 0.7 oz)

Just did a crapload to ship out about a half hour ago.

DS = 4-5oz
PS2/360/etc = 5-7 depending on manuals, discs, etc. RPGs tend to be about 7 while Phantasy Star for 360 was about 5.5 or something (obviously round up).

Rarely is anything above 7 so if you're not sure, put 7 just in case. Nothing worse than having the game come back to you 4-5 days later

all weights are with bubble envelope

Also, check out a food scale at your local sears, macys, bed bath and beyond, etc. as they're just as good as the "postal scales" they sell at the P.O. and Staples and they're typical half the price. Mine's digital and I got it from BB&B for $15 or something. It's definitely a must have tool if you ship often.

The average weight mentioned in this thread is about right. If all else fails, you can PM me and I can weigh a game for you. I have 360, PS2, DS, PC games, so I should be able to give you the exact game you're looking for, or a very good estimate.

Agreed that 7 oz is usually OK for most games unless there is an especially thick manual or extra disc.

My folks got me a digital postal scale for christmas and I don't know how I lived without it.
