So the single player demo just recently got released. I'm downloading it right now and have heard nothing but great reviews about it so far. So any of you guys/gals tried it out yet?

I tried the PC Gamer demo a little while back. It's awesome. It does feel quite a bit like Dawn of War, but a lot more polished. Definitely getting this one as soon as I can.

Yea, Relic generally makes good games.

Dawn of War is even better with the expansion, and I imagine the second expansion for it is going to be insane.

I really liked the changes made from DoW to this.

First off: Having to choose an avenue of fire for your machine gun teams is awesome. (Instead of simply putting them somewhere and having them shoot anywhere, you have to set their fire line, so they can cover a specific street and stuff.)

Second: TANKS HAVE POSITIONAL ARMOR! Hitting a King Tiger in the front does nothing. Hitting them in the back though, blows them up. You have to manuever your tanks behind the enemy. This and the avenue of fire add real strategy to the RTS genre.

Third: You must have a line of supply to each resource zone. I really like this. You end up with real battle lines, instead of random crap.

Well, they are developed by the same company. I played DoW at a friends house and couldn't stand it... the voice acting was so horrible during the cut scenes. The game play is a bit similar, but I think I'm more of a Rise of Nations player myself.

All the subtle touches really ended up adding a lot to the game. It's great because the game is really strategic while still feeling like it plays fast.

I can't believe i'm going to type these words, but....

I can't beat this demo. I suck. Everytime i skirmish i get my ass kicked even on easy. Anyone help me out. I seem like i can never get my units fast enough and by the time i start capturing points the nazi's are rolling in with freaking tanks.
