Compress video files?

So, I just captured some video off of my PS2, but I want to decrease the file size. Approximately 30 minutes is around 550 MB. Is there a program that will make the file smaller?

I'm a complete newb when it comes to this stuff, so any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I used Windows Movie Maker (Start->Accessories) to do this. When you save as, you can specify the file size you want and it'll compress it to fit that (you lose sound/video quality obviously).

Awesome, tried out Windows Movie Maker and decreased the file size to around 18 MBs. The quality is decent, which is all that I care for. Thanks everyone.

Edit: Gonna try out Dr. Divx next.

I got image converter 2.1 from here..converts files to MPG4 which PSP can only play..
