CompUSA Midnight Madness on Friday?

Someone mentioned in another thread that CompUSA was having a midnight madness sale this Friday, but requests for more information led to nothing. Anyone know anything about such a sale?

Well, looks like the rumors of a $300 laptop were false, but that 160GB HDD looks nice, as does the $130 1GB USB thumb drive/MP3 player (with tiny screen!).
 
Thanks for the heads up, I'm gonna try and get the 128MB Sony USB drive for $9.99 to use with GT 4 since my Sandisk Cruzer Mini doesn't work with it.

if you want to save a little more, PM it at staples...i didnt have a problem last time CUSA had this deal...after the extra 10% of the difference, it was $7.50 out the door (it was $34.99 at staples at the time) :D

Nice, I'll probably buy it from CompUSA first, then if I can get it at Staples I'll just return at CompUSA.

Looks like all of these have MIR, Staples will match these as well? Or will they just match the price before MIR?

Has anyone seen the 7/3-7/10 circular? I know after the midnight madness they usually have some hot sales as well. I'm looking to see if the 100 pack of DVD+Rs is 19.99 (would rather get one big spindle than 2 smaller ones)
 
Yeah, I'd hit on the DVD+R's if CUSA was closer.

BigDirty, as a precaution, last time they had the 100 pack on sale, I picked one up and it had no plastic spindle at all, just the discs wrapped in plastic with no center piece. Not sure if they sell all the packs that way or if they were just out of the spindled ones.
 
I will never buy anything from Compusa again. Even when GTA:SA was $29.99 I didn't give it a 2nd look. I bought some 30 dollar speakers. They quit working 22 days after I bought them I thought no big deal I will try to fix them. But I did not see anything wrong with them. so every store has a 30 day return policy and they are still under it. So I drive the 30 mins to the nearest Compusa were I bought them. I go to the store and the lady is like do you have the receipt.

I just left all pissed I figured instead of making a big deal about it I will hurt them in the worse way. never shop there again.
I never sent the speaker to Altec lansing cause shipping was 12-20 bucks so I said forget it. I have heard of worse stories about compusa. probably the worst of any retailer I have heard.
 
I bought the 17" flat screen display from their Midnight Madness sale around end of May. Had to exchange it twice before I got one that did not have a dead pixel - luckily I got a dead pixel-free replacement before the 21 days ran out.

If they try to push the extended warranty on you, make sure and READ THE FINE PRINTS before getting it. They have a version that was ONLY GOOD FOR ONE TIME EXCHANGE/REPLACEMENT, not unlimited exchanges/replacements for the entire duration the policy was good for.

Last time they had the 100 DVDs they were on a spindle, the CDs were in the wrap. Like the CDs on the midnight madness, they'll be just plastic wrapped.

I would have went to CompUSA today to because there are fireworks right across the street. But noooooooooooo... the dumbasses are listening to the dumbass weathermen and they were canceled.
