Computer audio too soft-- need speaker suggestions

So I've been using my iMac to watch a lot of TV recently and I've found most channels (especially HD channels) are just too quiet even though I'm only sitting a few feet away, so I guess I need some speakers.

I want somethings small-- absolutely no subwoofer. I have some JBL Creature II's that I don't like because I don't like the giant subwoofer taking up half my desk space or my leg space.

Are there any nice, small 2-piece sets out there-- I love the Apple Pro Harmon Kardon G4 Cube speakers from a while back, but those would need an expensive converter to run because they were powered through a special port.

The main thing is small, but they would naturally need to one up the iMac G5 on volume.

Thanks!

klipsch is the way to go if you care about what you're listening to.

but if you wanna save space check if you imac can do digital out (either thru the jack or thru spdif) it'll make your search a little easier.

I also took a listen to Bose's new PC setup. It's actually not too bad. I believe they well them in separate pieces.
but yeah price shouldn't deter you if you want a good setup. if you're budget is like 50 bucks... it'll be much more difficult.
