Computer desk deals anyone?

Ikea. Serious.

My wife and I went there looking for a regular desk for a second bedroom, but most of their desks are computer desks of all shapes and sizes. All $200 or less, too.

Hope you've got one in your area. I hate the friggin' place, but they bring cheap furniture to the ballgame and they PLAY. Get a lingonberry drink before you hit their human rat maze--makes the time go by faster.

New or used?

Sometimes a local college will have a room dedicated to selling excess furniture off. I picked up two nice leather computer chairs at my local Communiy College for $10 each last year..

They had a funny location and were only open a few hours a week. But I scheduled it in and it was worth it..

I went to Big Lots yesterday to see if they had any games and they had a couple decent desks for cheap. They sell the same brand furniture that the dept stores sell ex. Sauder and whatever the others were. Nice deals too, was thinking about getting some nice wicker patio furniture they had in..

i too am looking for one...but i need like a long ass one and I need space to put down my system, monitor, printer, 27 inch tv, vcr, 5 disc changer, 2 video game systems, and so on. Office depot has nothing that fits my specs :(

I'll say it again: IKEA.

They've got all kinds of nice computer desks. Cheapest is maybe $60-70. Most expensive is maybe $180-190.

If you've got one nearby, DO IT.

http://www.craigslist.org/

Craigslist is one of the most visited sites on the internet. Select your area, and check the furniture listings. Generally, everything is used. I've gotten futons for $35, a large wood computer L-desk for free, shelves for $15, etc. Just make sure that you can examine everything you buy before you do so, and you should be fine.

You usually have to be mildly careful when buying used furniture, but I've found the Craigslist community in my area to be very friendly and helpful.

In store I saw maybe 10 different computer desks. Could've been a few more than that. Maybe the problem here is that I'm not as picky as others when it comes to desks. If the dimensions work, I'll buy it.

I have a Jerker (computer) desk and this thing is awesome. If it's not long enough, they do have a Jerker table as well that I see a lot of people use as a computer one.

Also their Galant (I think) series is nice depending on your needs.

I have the Jerker computer table and the regular desk, got the desk for $50 cause it was the floor model and had a scratch on it. Anyway the desk seems to have a lot more space (surface area wise) but the computer table gives you more usable space because of its two tier design.
