Concern about disc warping

I wasn't sure where to ask this. Over the past 2 weeks I've had to move a lot of things out of my room and put them in an apartment that's going to be used as an office.

The games and movies I'm not playing/watching right now are in a big plastic container and are stacked on top of each other. They may be in there for a few months or more. Could this make the discs warp during that time?

If they are stored in dark place with no crazy variations in temperature I don't see the problem.

They are in cases right?

I've heard that discs can warp if they lie flat for long periods of time, but it would have to be for a very long time. Given that standard PS2 cases support the disc around the outer edge it's a moot point. Nothing to worry about.
