it can be done...no action replay...I did not know what an action replay was at the time.

You do not have to save it when getting through one disc to the other.

All I have to say about Half-Life on hard is that it is fucking HARD! And no, I didn't whore the quicksave.

I was so happy when I was on the train with the gman after defeating Nihilanth that I almost passed out. That is like my #1 accomplishment in gaming.
 
I just completed an online game of Madden 06 without the other bastard dropping the game. Thank God for last second 52 yard field goals.

Two things - First, do you like that a game is THAT hard? I personally have Ninja Gaiden for XBox but have not played it yet because I've heard it's so ridiculously hard. Don't get me wrong - I like a challenge. I REALLY prefer a game to be challenging. But lately it seems the thing to do is to make games impossibly hard to beat without cheats (thinking of Contra: Shattered Soldier in particular). Just curious what others out there think and you are most likely to have a differing view since apparently you have beaten a ridiculously difficult game - was it worth the time and heartache, or would you feel better off now that you've put all that into it having played a different game?

Also, what happened on June 4, 1989?
 
That's not an accomplishment at all. I can burn through any of the Metal Gear Solid's flawlessly on hard in about 3 hours.

edit- Actually, I can't really speak for the original. My friend showed me all of the cinemas for it when it first came out so I had no desire to play it. I did play the hell out of Twin Snakes, so that counts for something.

Yeah. I hate at the end when you have to fight 6 of the super T'Lan grunts at a time. That fucking sucked. I had to be a little bitch and run away and then take them on 2 at a time. Luckily, they aren't too smart.

That being said, the fights with the avatar guy are pretty freaking sweet and make the game worthwhile in my opinion. That and the acid trip parts.

Thanks for the spoiler? I think. I can't remember what part i'm at. I just fought.. um.. four laser T'Lan's, went up a hill and fought three or four invisible dudes (they piss the hell out of me) then what I guess was a super T'Lan grunt on the bridge, then two more, then two more. It sucks? They're easy as hell to beat.. once you get a pattern. I love the slide + uppercut combo. It knocks the super T'Lan grunts flat on their ass (usually) and it kills any other T'Lan grunt.. either that, or a right punch, left punch, back kick combo.

Yeah, I like to go play in the sea and fuck with the sharks. I have this thing called a shark rocket that I fire at them, and then they come at me and I have fun eluding them. I know this hip move, it's a thing that porpises do. I pretend I have a bottlenose and smash them in the gills. It's really quite effective.

Awesomeness confirmed.
