Yesterday i was able to confirm this deal.

In TRU stores they have this little 4 page free advertisement and in it it has a "buy FF 1&2 GBA game & get $30 off FF Crystal Chronicles"

Well at CC this week they have FF 1&2 for $25 & FF Crystal Chronicles rings up at $29.99.

Well i price matched it at CC and was able to get both games for a total of $25.
What the cashier did since they could take a full $30 off either game was to take $20 off 1 game & $10 off the other.

NOTE: The price tag on FF Crystal Chronicles gc is $39.99 but you have to GET IT SCANNED & once you do that it will show the real price which is $29.99.

Sounds like a huge YMMV. Also, either FF:CC would have to be in this week's CC ad, or $30 at TRU.

If you hate circuit city, don't shop there.

This deal-matching is very very unlikely to work.

And it's final fantasy 1 + 2. 1/2 makes it sound like one half. you know, like that number from that lion king movie.

I guess that it depends on how the TRU receipt reads when the deal is punched into the computer. If it simply reads as a discount for FF:CC, then just maybe those of us with BVG credit cards can ask for a check from them.

I once tried to pricematch something at Circuit City from there own website, It was a game that was 4.99 on the site and 19.99 in the store, I was explaining this to the manager and after I asked him to check the website, his exact words to me were....

"I'm sorry, our store and our website are not the same thing, I will not pricematch for you nor will I go check the website, please leave my store"

I refuse to shop at CC unless I'm being a "devil" customer. :D

^^^

Most store will do that though. Best buy considers their website a different entity and will not price match it either, or atleast my local one wont.

I called my local CC yesterday they said FF:CC is $40. Maybe, lazy employee didn't scann the game for me instead telling me the price tag sticker is $40.

Ohh.. well i have to make another call today cuz i want FF:CC + FF 1&2 for $25 :)
I just checked my CC and they had no mention of this deal, much less be able to apply a price match. :(
You have to get the "r-zone video game" ad at your TRU then go to CC and price match the ad at CC.

I did this today and got a match for TRU's exact price (i.e. a $50 FF:CC and $30 FF1&2). I'll be returning them this weekend.

I tried it at my local Circuit City and it worked. It took forever and I kept being sent to different people, but eventually I had the games for a combined total of about $25.

Man i feel sorry for you guys not getting this deal to work so i've decided to sell both of my sets that i was able to buy. Plus i'm not a RPG fan :)

1 of the sets is taken by Zforce pending payment so i have 1 left.

For $37 paypal you get the following:

Final Fantasy 1 & 2 GBA Game Sealed
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles GC Game Sealed

Both items will be shipped via Usps 2-3 day priority shipping so this is for USA CITIZENS ONLY!!!!!!!!!

The GBA game will be inside a protective hard plastic case so it won't get crushed.

You are making $5-$7 for each set but is very nice of you go out & pickup for your cheap ass friends :)

I USED my CC Gift Card get both games today at CC for $25.85 after Pricematch with TRU ;)

I went to Clackamas, OR TRU on friday and picked up the games. No ads in the R-Zone or the store mentioning this package and I probably recycled the newspaper ad long ago. I feel like I didn't try hard enough, but I don't really mind because I wanted the games anyway. Could I pricematch the reciept or something?
