I have awesome card battling skills. Once I was in a fight with an assasin at a school...I kicked the gun from his hand then we started kung fu fighting. I eventually got him into a sleeper hold and stabbed him with a playing card over and over till he died.

It sucked though because then the girl that I was in love with from high school saw the dead body and freaked out...it all worked out in the end though.

I have experience from playing CCG's and as well games that were based upon those CCG's and other games that feature card battling in general. I find the types of games very enjoyable to play since you can control what kind of cards you want to have.

While not a master, I am fairly adept at the art and science of playing both limited and constructed variants of collectable card games. I have a grasp of Game Theory and gamesmanship, as well as being well versed with the concepts that drastically boost your winning percentage in such games, such as card advantage, synergistic gameplay mechanics and such.

Not only is this helpful in the play of CCGs, but grants benefits to your ability to play any other card game, including those that are so beloved of gamblers.

My conception was decided over a game of friggin egyption ratscrew. When I was born, they couldn't decide on a name, but ended up naming me Jack. I guess they didn't feel like King, Ace, or Deuce were good names for a boy. I owned at Go Fish in Preschool and by the time I was 15 I was known as Jack the Shifter. Basically, now I am the greatest cardmaster ever. I can make a pyramid cards. I made a makeshift shotgun outof magic the gathering cards. I owned the first 52 most wanted Iraqi card deck.

Oh Yeah! You all suck at cards and I own all!
I won't say I have great skills anymore, but before I got married I LOVED playing magic the gathering, but now I don't have anyone to play with any more :( so I've got about 400$ worth of cards collecting dust, but I won't get rid of them in hopes I find someone to play w/ again some day.
I'm in the same boat. I was playing during revised theough the dark. I had a group that met once a week to play magic, but they all drifted away. I still have my cards, and won't sell them. Try Magic online. You can get into magic again and not have to look for players.

I played Magic: TG against the owner of this comic store and LOST! Can't beat that. I didn't know what any of the cards did because I'm not a real hardcore player. I just went because my brother and cousin went. I think I pissed him off nice, though, with my slow pace and lack of skills.

I have absolutely zero card battling skills. None. Nada. Zip.

I have never played a card-based game. I think they scare me. But for free, I'd love to be initiated.

No skills, willing to learn. That's me.

Never tried this type of game. I'm just now playing my first RPG, but I do have mad Uno skills Yo !

I don't play Duel Masters yet. But this is even more incentive to begin. Damnit just gimme the prize now.

I play Magic. I'm good but not the best. My mono-blue deck can kick some major ass. Well against the noobs lol.

Im so awsome that I beat my friends deck worth several hundred dollars that he had placed in state magic card tourneys with with my cheap $30 deck.....multiple times.

Im so awsome that I had a Green deck go undeafeted for dozens of matchs.

I only play CCGs via computer games (it's much cheaper that way. ;)) nowadays. The only CCG I really got into was OverPower, but Marvel's bankruptcy got in the way of that game. I'd like to think I have some deck-building skills...but I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who'd think that notion laughable.

So far, I've tried Pokemon, DBZ, and Yu-Gi-Oh....but no Duel Masters. Maybe this contest can change all of that.

I got a pack of yu-gi-OH! (emphasis on the OH!) cards two weeks ago onc learance and I have yet to still understand what in the hell is going on. In any case, I pick only characters that have grimaces on their faces, because hey, they're obviously into it.

I've played Magic since its inception 10 years ago. I spent every last dollar and starved for weeks while in college just so I could buy one more booster of Magic cards. Sometimes I would sit in the corner of my room by myself in the dark holding on to my Black Lotus magic card petting and and calling it "My Precious" (Golem actually got that line from me after he tried to steal my Black Lotus magic card).

In between I played the Pokemon CCG. My wife was interested in Pokemon so I started buying the cards. I bought so many cards and force my wife to play so many games of Pokemon, that she now hates Pokemon and has packed away all the cards -- which take up two full storage boxes. I even started offering 8 and 9 year old kids tons of money and candy in trade for just one more foil Charizard card.

I recently got back into Magic again and once more I've spent more than I care to imagine on Magic cards. I've bought and played so much Magic, I haven't even had time for video games!

This Duel Master prize should be mine because (1) I love CCGs, (2) I love Wizard of Coast CCGs and have played both Magic and Pokemon CCG, (3) I love videogames and (4) I love this message board. ;)

Seriously though, I think this will help ease me back from playing CCGs to the more important things in life...playing video games!!!

my card battling skills have been limited to magic, my favorite tactic was right before death, using a wrath of God card and wiping out the table

BTW, if anyone wants to meet up and play Magic in person, and you live in NYC, let me know. I have some friends here who also like to play. We've since started only playing Type II legal decks to avoid any of us running to our cellers and storage boxes to pull out the old Black Lotuses. ;)

I almost forgot, after my long-winded tirade above concerning my CCG addiction and why I should get this prize, I forgot to talk about my CCG skills.

I had a nearly unbeatable Vampire/Tim/Icy Manipulator/Royal Assassin deck back in the day when I played Magic in College. It was black/blue and was based around lots of Vampires (including Baron Sengir) which grew when damaged, lots of fast mana (ala moxes, Black Lotus, Dark rituals and sacrifice lands), multiple Tims and tim-like cards (that tapped to deal one damage) and four Icy Manipulator's coupled with Royal Assassins to tap and destroy any of my opponent's creatures. There were a couple counterspells in there as well for good measure.

Now I like to use a Cleric or Soldier tribal deck. I find they work great, particularly with all the Clerics and Soldiers in the Legions/Scourge/Onslaught Block of cards.

I preferred using a Pikachu/Richu based deck for Pokemon. I also completed the Pkemon trading card game for Gameboy.

In addition, I played and finished the little known but awesome tradng card video game for the Neo Geo Pocket Color called Fighters Card Clash. It was a video game based on a card game using famous Capcom and SNK fighting characters (e.g. Ken, Ryu, Chun Li etc.). It was so awesome, I played it twice.

Hows that for addicted?

P.S. I'm also decent at Blackjack, Hearts and Euchre.

My battling skills officially suck :p

I'm persistant though and with excessive amounts of resets I completed a full card deck on the Triple Triad in FF8 :D (I got a little star for it!)

I'm known as the most fierce player in my area. I'm still the reign champion and undefeated. If you happened to play me in card game, it's already over before it began. Watch out!

I love Card Games, but I don't know if I'm toooo good at it. Only card game I played on GBA was Pokemon TCG, which was pretty good.

I'd love to start up playing again. I love MTG too.

I used to play the Pokemon card game and was pretty into it. I have two Charizard first editions... like that means anything today. :?

I am excellent at 52 Pick Up. I always win!~

Actually, not sure if anyone has heard of it but Blue Moon is a fun game about doing battle with various cards and it is not collectable! Yay!

I love card games, iv played, ruled, and mastered most of them. A few to name are magic, pokemon, starwars, harry pothead, and alot more that i cant think of i think there was this game with 5 rings or somin oh well. I wanna win so bad
edit: i also played dbz

I once beat my comatose grandmother in a game of old maid, but she came back to win 3 more games in a row and then died in the middle of the 4th so it was a draw.
Yes fear my 1337 card battling skillz.

My best card battle victory came during a game of Munchkin Fu. I'm playing as a Samurai / Ninja (due to my having a Super Munchkin card in play at the time). I'm level 6 (one needs to be level 10 to win). I draw from the Alley card pile, no monster. I go looking for trouble and fight a level 7 monster from my hand. I then play a stunt double card from my hand, so there are two monsters, with a total of 14 levels between them. Thanks to my Samurai Helmet (+4), and my Demon-posessed Mook (+12), I beat both monsters. Being a Samurai gets me two levels for anything I kill that's higher than my level. This allowed me to win the game from level 6.
I know how to play 52 card pickup. I can play a mean game of asshole. Im decent at blackjack.
Ya, I just can't top that so why even bother.... 8)

Used to play magic with some friends...made some awesome decks, even one that I was never allowed to use again because it took hours for just one game!

I once was in the process of robbing a Shop-N-Go when the police showed up. After my clip was empty, I grabbed 2 packs of Bicycles off of the rack and managed to sling them with authority - severed 3 cop jugulars, and hamstringed an innocent bystander before those fags lobbed in the tear gas. I'm in the middle of my stretch, and I could use something to pass the time while sitting in my Supermax cell.
