CONTEST: WWE RAW on USA - October 3rd, 8pm EST [Winner announced!]

Free stuff...for posting? Whooo. I watch from time to time. I had stopped for a while, but I'm getting back, it's not as interesting as it once was, but lets see if there will really be any major changes as it goes back to USA

I thought the dog show would now be shown on something like Animal Planet...when I was really into wrestling, I would get pissed when the dog show would be shown >.<

Unfortunately I will miss the first bonus hour, but hope it's all good regardless.

There is hope for a wrestling revival again. With Raw back on USA and TNA premiering on Spike we might see better matches, better writing and things worth remembering.
I look forward to seeing where they go with things following the Homecoming and more importantly, post-Taboo Tuesday, heading into Survivor Series.
i'm hoping there's some good stuff going on leading up to the survior series event, since it's in detroit this year and will be the first wwf/wwe event i'll have attended in something like 14 years.

hopefully rob conway will be there so i can cheer while everyone else gives blank stares.

Also, if you haven't heard yet, at 730pm est or 630pm cst, 30 minutes before Raw Homecoming starts, WWE.com is going to be broadcasting something and may continue to broadcast during the commercial breaks.

I haven't watched a full RAW(or SD) in over a year. I never liked Orton, didn't care for Batista much, missed RVD, didn't like many of the "storylines", etc, etc... Hopefully RVD will return soon and be given a good role.
GOOD competition is a good thing! So when is TNA going to air now, in the Raw timeslot? HMM 8 pm also, looks like Vince is trying to take the WCWs slot and give the WWF slot to TNA, or is is still gonna be 9-11? I haven't watched it in about a month.
I agree that competition is def a good thing. Hopefully WWE will up its game here becasue they havent had anything really good going on for a couple years now....
I welcome back Mick Foley with OPEN arms.

I still think back to the Undertaker-Mankind Hell in a Cell matchup in 1998.

Wow, that was awesome.
I agree. And that matchup was awesome.

How many times has Undertaker "died" now? Like, 50? :)

Am i the only one that feels the gimmicks of today's wrestlers just aren't as "good" or as strong as they used to be? It seems like these days, everyone who's been around for a while goes off of their reputation, and those who are new are simply "the new guys". The days of the Corporation/Corporate Ministry, DX, Mark Henry, Val Venis (pre-jobber), and Goldust just to name a few were great... they all seemed to stay heavy on their gimmicks, while today it seems like everyone just goes out and has a match; every character could easily be replaced.

I agree.. to a point. The WWE used to give people more time to settle into their gimmicks then they do now. Guys like Goldust weren't over right away... but the WWE gave him time and breathing room to develop the character and find an audience. You also have to remember that for every good gimmick wrestler, there have been about 10 painfully crappy gimmicks that barely made a blip on the wrestling radar (both the Rock and Steve Austin were stuck in horrible gimmicks for the first year or so of their WWE career).

That being said one thing I definately object to is the "Goldberg" introduction that every new wrestler seems to get. It used to be when you came into the WWE you slowly worked your ways up the ranks and lost more matches than you won, now every new face on the scene has to go undefeated for months before finally dropping some high profile match up. Honestly it gets tiring, it frustrates fans of established wrestlers who have to job out to these unestablished wrestlers in order to make them look credible.
Oh ya... I see the irony here

I have noticed that during the past few weeks, HHH has gotten a nice little pop from the crowd when his face appears on the Titantron. This has really surprised me, but it gives me some hope that maybe they will bring him back as a face finally. I think that would be good for the product.

I'll end up watching bits and pieces of RAW this Monday, but I'm looking more forward to the UFC marathon on Spike TV and watching the Fackers and Bret Fakver lose another game. :D

cant wait for this.

we all miss the sexual chocolate and the good old days when he married that really old lady.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but I found Sexual Chocolate fucking hilarious... the TitanTron with the Hershey's bar was great, just leave out the part with Mae Young giving birth to a hand.

I miss the nWo after watching the TNA box set that just came out. Scott Hall was awesome. Good to see stone cold back though.

agree'd. what was with that creepy viscera guy? i never saw him too many times.

Big Vis? oh man... he basically stole the Sexual Chocolate gimmick... but it was hilarious for a while. I still laugh when I think about about the time he randomly leaned over to some dude in the crowd and said "can I have some of your nachos?" and proceeded to cruise around ringside chomping on nachos and while checking out Lillian Garcia, before offering her some.

John Cena is the worst wrestler in the entire WWE. I refuse to watch any show he's on. What a fucking pussy poser bitch.

Hmm... contest. Why not give it a shot?

Umm... something with wrestling...

TNA better not make Jushin Liger job to Samoa Joe. Also, I hope that the WWE RAW homecoming special is good. :)

I bet the hotshot the contest to Saucy ;)

Nobody must forget that TNA wrestling will be on spike TV making their Starday night (Oct 1st) debute at 11 with a replay Monday night at midnight.

I haven't watched since a little before the merger. I watched religously as a kid up until the late 90's. Luckily I have DVR, I work 3rd shift. I'm gonna give it another try.

I am looking forward to Matt Hardy whooping Edge in the Loser Leaves Raw - Money In The Bank - Ladder Match. That's right, I said Matt is going to win. Bank On It.

Also looking forward to TNA debuting on Spike tomorrow.

Not to threadcrap, but don't expect to get anything. Fun to win nontheless.

(didn't get anything from winning the ecw thing, never shipped or anything)

Ah well.

I like Batista and Cena, but they wrestle like crap. All about the gimmicks and crap... Angle, Benoit, and Brock are/were real wrestlers.

I remember as a kid Stone Cold on shotgun whatever the saturday show is.. too bad I don't have cable to watch RAW all the time.
I remember watching WWE on USA when I was 5 or 6. Maybe the show will get good again with the move.
Jesus Christ you're young!

I was just looking at the prizes that were recently listed. It looks to be a pretty good bag o' swag. Who's putting them up? Is it Cheapy or is the WWE actually donating. Is it true that the winner of the ECW pack never received the prize?

Yeah, he (cheapy) asked my my address ect, I followed up a month later and he said he'd look into it. Fast forward 3 months and nothing. I didn't lose anything, so it's not like it's a big deal. Just a fair warning to anyone getting their hopes up. Probably ain't his fault, i'm pretty sure he isn't directly shipping them anyways.

Ratings will spike (pun fully intended) for that week then drop right back to where they've been for the last couple of years IMO.

I haven't really kept up with wrestling (I don't even have the time to watch Smackdown) but I will watch RAW this Monday night for sure. The returning superstars (Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Hulk Hogan, etc.) will be nice to see even though if it is for one night. However, I'm hoping Triple H's return is permanent. Hate him or love him, he is one of the best heels in the business and the WWE really needs him now more than ever.

As for the matches, I know I think I know the outcome to the Edge vs. Matt Hardy match (accidently read it online), but I want to see what kind of match they can put on. I also can't wait to see the Iron-Man match between Kurt Angle and HBK. That will surely be gold. I also can't wait to see John Cena vs. Eric Bischoff. I'm expecting Bischoff to give Cen a run for his money, and maybe even pull off the upset win which would completely kill Cena.

It should be a good night for the WWE. I'm just hoping that there is more wrestling than talking, especially since the show is going to be 3 hours long.
