Contests/free stuff section should be locked to CAG members logged in only.

I see alot of people posting codes and such right in their messages on there and its not fair limited use codes are accessible to just anyone. Stuff like that I think should be left so you have to atleast have a user name and logged in to even access that section to keep limited use stuff for CAG members only.
 
I second that, that's actually a really good idea. It's not like it's all that hard for trollers to just go and sign up but it might give some of us those extra couple seconds we deserve to get a code.
 
yeah, ive seen lurkers steal codes time and time again without even posting a thanks. they could very well be registered members, but this might help a bit.
 
The people posting the codes right in a message could actually say 'PM me if you want the code' as well, though I remember when I mentioned I might be giving something away in one thread. I was bombarded with PM's from random users I'd never even seen on the site before.

That's why anymore if I give out something for free, it's only to users I've seen on here for a while who actually contributed something more than 'where can I get such and such for cheap to flip?'(aka the people who want all the info on deals without having to read through a thread to get it).
 
Wouldn't it be easier just to create a tag that hides text from those not logged in. I don't think Cheapy will get behind it because his ad view numbers will go down
 
Why not just make a forum that is just for just giving codes away. Then make that froum member only and make it so you have to have been a member for x amount of time.
 
Honestly, it sounds like a jerk move. Plus it doesn't stop somebody from lurking and being logged in...

Well they would atleast have to sign up for a account then instead of just sticking their nose in, taking the codes and leaving without even the ability to possibly say thank you.

Jerk move is people leeching off the forum and getting stuff before a actually registered member could.
