Corporate Email at Wal Mart stating Dec 1st Wii Shipment

I was at my local Wal Mart and lo and behold they hold a crapload of Remotes and Nunchuks for the Wii. I was joking with the assistant store manager about how it's too bad they are out systems and she advised corp sent her an email today stating each store was getting roughly 30+ Wii's in for Dec 1st.

I don't know if this is the right thread but it's good info.
 
Probably not the right place. I made a similar post today and it was moved. I'm sure Scorch and Gizmogc are on there way here now.

Where is this local Wal-Mart of yours? I'm having a hard time finding controllers (nunchucks & remotes) and I'd love to be able to get some ASAP.

I just came from one near my house, they had plenty of wii controllers, all of them, but no consoles. I asked the person at the counter and she said December 1rst as well. Just wanted to give this information a confirmation

I have yet to see a classic controller retail except for target.

I am just using a wavebird though so I haven't really been looking due to having my tv about 12 feet from my couch.
 
I happened to be at my local Walmart last night. They had several Zeldas (still hard to find in some areas, I've heard), a few classic controllers, and one Wii-mote. I asked about the console, and the employee said they wouldn't have any until after Christmas. I don't believe her, but I guess that is what she was told to say.

I just got off the phone with the manager in electronics at the walmart in Roebuck, AL and she said that they were supposed to get some Wiis for the Ad coming out on 12/03/2006. So hopefully this will be all of them and there will be a big shipment.

He must not know the cord on the Classic Controller plugs into the remote, not the Wii. So it's wireless, but tethered.

I called my local 24hr Walmart. The lady didn't know anything about getting them in for the 12/3 ad, but I asked a hypothetical, and she said that they would be available at 12:01 sat night/sun morning. I hope this is true, as the 3rd is my Birthday! :applause:
 
Any East Coasters confirm this? I'll call my Western PA store tonight and see what their scoop is.

Edit:
Blairsville PA Wal-Mart says 8am on 12/6, won't say how many.
Latrobe PA Wal-Mart says the same, and that they will be giving out tickets at 8am.

Are these 24hr locations, or do they open at 8am?

Im in eastern PA and i will call Walmart tonight. Im on the prowl for a Wii but the people at my local walmart are a bit.....:drool:

So does this mean that they will start selling them on Sunday? I'm planning to visit the Wal-mart in Homewood, AL on Sunday. It's a 24-hour store, but does that mean that the electronics department is also open 24 hours?
 
I'm scared to call wal-mart again, as they might give me an entirely different time. I guess I'll go at midnight and see what they tell me. Last new year's I was at wal-mart at midnight getting an xbox 360. Maybe they'll do the same thing and I can spend my birthday there, too. :roll:
