Could an Elite Beat Agents game work on the Wii?

Me and my roomate have fallen in love with EBA (it is so addicting, I havn't touched my 360 since I got it) and we were throwing around ideas of a Wii version.

What do you guys think? Just fun speculation here. Think if you had to point and click with the remote it would be accurate? Maybe the gameplay would be completely re-done with the same story ideas?

I just hope Nintendo keeps making these games (Or INS, or whoever actually made it).

Cool Cool Tune for the Dreamcast plays alot like EBA. So it could work.

I don't think Nintendo is too impressed with EBA in america. I heard it has sold less than 120k copies..

I think the Wii version should combine the pointing elements of the DS one(less a part of most songs) with motion controls.. where they'd give you general motions to make to the song, a lot like the EBA dancers do in the background on the DS version. Like waving it downwards and across your body to the right, to the left, up and down... Then you'd have sections where you point your arm forward and hit beats on the screen too. it could be great fun for a party game!

Well EBA is a quirky game and an unproven property, its going to have to spread on word of mouth before it could really sell a lot domestically.

120 k is still pretty good numbers for a game that needs to be played to really "get" it. Reggie and folks overestimated EBA's power as a name, but it's a game with legs. Everyone I've introduced the game to have either bought it or put it on a Christmas list. Furthermore, the Wii has a version of Cooking Mama being released in the US which did much less then 120k. Elite Beat Agents will get a sequel.

I dont think it would work too well. Trauma Center doesnt require quick movements in sync with a beat. If they simplified it some maybe. But I se accuracy problems personally.

Ever play the Sin/X missions in Trauma Center?

I didn't like EBA at all. After playing Ouendan since it was released the songs in EBA really turned me off.

That being said, I think an EBA type game on the Wii could be fun with motions instead of point/clicking, but the music... *shudder*

If a version of EBA did come about on the Wii and it involved motions instead of pointing and clicking similar to how the game plays on the DS, it would be like Para Para Paradise...and I don't know how I'd feel about that.

Nintendo sent me a survey after I registered EBA asking how likely I was to buy a sequel. It seems that have plans for it as long as it sells halfway decent.

I like EBA, but I like Ouendan more, honestly... I'm not saying the music is better quality, but at least I couldn't understand how much it sucked.

I think it could be done but not the same game. Would do more guesters, think more along the lines of DDR but with the controller. Moving the controller similar to how the agents dance in a few directions.

I think it could work. It might also be better since the motion sensing could be used in addition to the pointing for more gameplay variety than simply point and click. I don't see the quick movements that are necessary as being a problem. You'll just need a steady hand. Maybe the circles could be bigger to counteract the inherent difficulty increase?

I doubt it'll happen though. Maybe in Japan.

Why not just make another Samba De Amigo. It would work better with the mote/chuck combo.

Because two different companies own the games? Samba is SEGA and EBA is iNiS.
