I just received my pink Hori DS lite pouch from dealextreme (they are overseas), this is my second one.

The first case was of really good quality (ordered from play-asia), the one that just arrived is of substantially lower quality; in fact I'm really unhappy with it.

Funny thing is the box which appears genuine says it's for a blue case when it's supposed to be pink. I'm pretty sure some @hole in china wanted to squeeze an extra 2 bucks out of the manf. process and pumped out some fake cases.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there anything I can do about it?

You can really see the difference in quality of materials used :(
 
no offense, but did you didnt really think for $5, shipped free, you were going to get a top notch real deal, did you? that site screams knock offs to me.

and yes, i have ordered some stuff from them.
 
Dealextreme tries their best to describe things, but as they always mention (by reading the comments sections) they're at the mercy of the manufacturers as to the actual validity/quality of the items sold. They've already un-hori'd the cheap screen protectors (but still sell them) and added the official hori ones to their site for 3x$.

Let them know they might not be true hori, and they'll at the very least take the hori name off of the description...
