Counterstrike: Source VS BF2

Hel yea man... BF2 has the arcadey/pinch of technical feel of CS... but with the classes and gameplay of Team Fortress. Swirl that around and put in a pinch of jets and commanding.. and you get BF2.

But, isn't there constant respawning during matches? I am scared of that.

Yea but it counts down...

The game isnt based on personal deaths like Cstrike, but more about points.

Cstrike is an arcadey tactical...

BF2 is an Arcadey War Simulator.

You dont go to war with only 16 men on both sides... ;-)

Its not Cstrike... but its good fun.

even though i havent been able to play this game yet it sure sounds like BF2 is way better and i have played CS: Source and its aalmost the same as regular CS BF2 sounds way different then all their other games

You'll slowly learn to hate CS:S--especially since Valve just doesn't seem to care about getting VAC2 released anytime soon.

I haven't fired up CS:S for a long time now, and with BF2, I really never even feel like doing so.

only played CS:S once and that was to test it out . Im alittle afraid of playing because of the ridiculous skill lvl of some players seems daunting . But BF2 is super fun very easy to get into .

WTF?[/QUOTE]

You seem to be a knowledgable man. I have a $40 gift card to CompUSA should I bother with BF2?

If you are looking for a multiplayer "war" game, with large maps and a bunch of players, I would recomend Far Cry over BF2.

Far Cry isn't a war game (the gameplay is similar to a war game), but the assault multiplayer mode, with giant maps, multiple player classes (sniper, engineer, soldier), and vehicles it offers a better multiplayer experience than BF2.

Yea you should and join the CAG clan :D .

I thought BF2 was great fun and I've been playing CS competitively for 4 years...then Source rolled around which is just complete ass, I'm waiting for Valve to fix it. I thouht about buying BF2 on release, but I determined that my computer just wasn't up for it.

*published by EA.

I can't believe I just heard someone say that FarCry is a better multiplayer experience than BF2?

lol yeah that seems kinda farfetched I dunno.

Quackzilla, you must be joking. What do you mean by comparing a godly game like counterstrike to battlefield 2. Counterstrike is no where near as immense as battlefield 2. Battlefield 2 online gameplay is spectacular and it includes over 30 vehicles. Couterstrike is a very good game but, if your looking for all out war play battlefield.

Also you better be joking about getting far cry. The single player version of far cry was awesome but online is a joke!!!
