Craigslist - Phone Verification required for video game listings?

I'm pretty new to listing items on Craigslist, so this may or may not be a stupid question:

Whenever I try to add pictures / links to pictures / edit a previous listing, I am often taken to a phone verification page. Since I don't want to expose my number to any potential psychopaths / spam lists / *hackers* (which is why I'm opting to use the "contact me by anonymous email" option), is there a painless way to bypass or avoid this phone verification step, or am I just going to have to actually give them my number? (I've already tried having them text my Google voice number and Textfree number for the verification process; both "couldn't be verified".)

Thanks in advance.

I doubt you can bypass it. I provided them my number and have been able to post without any issues now. I think the phone number is valid for like 90 days and then they'll ask you to verify it again. I'm not sure though, just providing my experience.

It could depend on category; I've posted in toys and games without any verification.
