Someone posted their haul from CompUSA the other day and I reply with a "I got one better" Well it turns out that I didn't even look at my receipt until today and found that the deal was even sweeter then I thought.
Here's a recap: Saturday(10-13-07) I went to K-Mart and browsed their clearance games. I saw some DS, PS2, XBOX, and XBOX 360 games priced from $5.00-$26.00. These were on the bottom level where they were renovating. So at that particular time I had to pay for my items upstairs. Well the cashier stopped after ringing the first item, saying she needed an override. She then told me that the games were 75% off the clearance stickers and that the Perfect Dark Zero that she rang up wasn't $7.00, but instead it was $1.75! My mouth dropped and I told her to hold my stuff and that I would return shortly. Now today I looked at my receipt and saw how much I paid for Pokemon Trozei and Contact; thinking I paid $5.50 and $6.50 respectively. I was wrong! Man was I wrong! According to the receipt I paid $1.24 each! Wow! Talk about sweet.
Check out my haul:
Elite Beat Agents-$5.50
Meteos-$5.50
Point Blank-$1.75
Pokemon Trozei-$1.24
Contact-$1.24
Nintendo DS Web Browser-$5.50
Advent Rising-$1.24
Perfect Dark Zero-$1.75
Phantasy Star Universe(360)-$1.75
Star Trek Legacy(360-$2.50
Tales of the Abyss-$5.50
Valkyrie Profile 2-$5.50
There was something else but I can't remember, I had two receipts.
Now I went home to re-up on some ends for a second haul, but my plans were thwarted by a knowledgeable manager. He got wind of this and said that the cashier upstairs made a mistake. Apparently there was a table on the upper level with clearance items that were 75% off the clearance price. Well since the employees on the lower level directed me upstairs to pay for my items, the cashier upstairs assumed that I picked them up from the table. Which to me really did add up, being that there were no games on the upper level or on that table for that matter. Anyway, I am not looking a gift-horse in the mouth.
