Dude, every cosplayer looks like a chibi midget version of the character they are trying to play. Especially Japanese girls, who are all like 5'2". Your average anime or videogame character is 8 feet tall, with 5' long legs. Its impossible to 'realistically' portray characters that dont have realistic human proportions.
Samus in the game has six foot wide shoulders and an 8" waist. Theres no possible way a real human could ever fit into that suit.
I wont even get into the morphball.... lol
As far as cosplay goes, that Samus suit was pretty tite.
