There are a bunch including a Q42006 Halo 3 release date but this is the best of them all:

There will be over 50 Sega Dreamcast games on XBLA within 2 years starting this September. Every Dreamcast game released on the 360 will be $10.

If this is true... holy shit would that be awesome - especially if the games are somehow released in 16x9 720p... There's probably no chance though because the source of "a friend who works at Microsoft who got drunk at a wedding and leaked company secrets" just doesn't scream reliability.... but still, it's fun to talk about...

I believe the part about WoW coming to the 360, but an exclusive expansion for it before there is a PC version of it? I highly doubt it. Plus we don't even know if there is going to be another expansion for it after the Burning Crusade.

Well, seeing how they can't even get Xbox emulation down, I'm not sure sure they'll get Dreamcast emulation any better.

Gametap, as well as a few homebrew PC emulators do a pretty decent job, so I'd say its possible.

There will be over 50 Sega dremcast games on the xbox live arcade
within 2 years. Launched a handfull at a time, he said the first
game will be Bonks adverture, which should be out in September
2006. Every dreamcast game released on 360 will be priced
at around 10 dollars. or however many points that is.
Bonk's Adventure was for the TG-16.

On Major Nelson's newest podcast he does mention that something so "awesome" is in the works and that he can not say anything about it and it's driving him crazy.
4 player Power Stone 2 on XBL?

I can only dream...

As for the other rumors, if they are true. Sony beware.

Yeah, I call BS on this. Maybe a few DC games, but not all of them. As stated above, they cant even emulate THEIR OWN SYSTEM properly.

That being said, if Power Stone see light on the system, my interest in the 360 would go from zero to scrapping together money very quickly.
how many dreamcast games can you fit on the hard drive? 10 at the most?
It would be a lot more than that as most DC games were somewhere around 400MB if I remember correctly. A lot of the more popular arcade style games were really around the 250MB range though. If this is true, the best thing would be to bundle them all on a larger harddrive that would upgrade the X360. I dub it "The Xbox 360 Dreamcast Hard Drive Bundle".

I think the best term to sum up my feelings on these rumors is : I'll believe it when I see it.

Everything mentioned is possible. I'd like to see WoW 360, just to play the game that PC fanboys have been ranting about for a while.

how many dreamcast games can you fit on the hard drive? 10 at the most?

Why would someone choose to purchase 10+ DC games? If they're $10 each, that's $100. You could get a DC and a few games for that much money.

I doubt anyone will have more than 2-3 DC games at any given time on their hard drive.

THat would be nice... too bad bungie has already forced bill gates to take back what he said about halo 3 and say "Itll be ready when bungie has it ready."

BTW, how big are DC games approx.? How big is the HDD?

The biggest problem with this is that 360 Live Arcade games are REQUIRED to be 50MB or less (see the Hoopworld developer diary on Gamespot if you don't believe me). I would guess that most, if not almost all, dreamcast games are much larger than that. However, a Sega Compilation disc with Live in mind is completely possible, and really, when you think about it, likely. And yes, I also would be VERY happy to see Power Stone on live. Many have tried to copy it, but no one else has really even come close. God knows Marvel: Nemesis sure didn't...

And later released on the NES, but I don't believe it ever got anywhere near a sega system, especially not the dreamcast.

So much for the 50 MB limit on XBArcade games , if this is true .

Genesis sure , Saturn maybe , Dreamcast , unfortunately , I doubt it .
Dude - I heard Final Fantasy XIII is an 360 exclusive and will be out early 2007!!!!1!
Link please.

Yeah I know your being sarcastic so no stupid posts, but at least the OP had a link.
Link please.
He can link back to this post in which I say I heard some guy who works from MS say it. Because I can say that. And thats exactly how valid the guy that the OP is citing is.
Wow, sounds like too big of a rumor to be remotely true.
yeah ill wait till E3 till i believe any rumors

DOH!!!!!!!!!

actually a few DC titles are ported easily port to Xbox already. They include Rent a Hero and a few other titles that I cant think of right now. They are originally to be release as a bundle on Xbox 1 It probably wont be too difficult to port that to X360. However dont expect many A list games from thrid parties.
how many dreamcast games can you fit on the hard drive? 10 at the most?
does it matter? i thought all your dls were linked with your gamertag, so if you dl a game and pay for it you could delete and redownload as needed with no extra charge. is this not true?

Sweeeeeet. My friend really wants to play WoW. Only problem is he has alot of PC friends who are already playing it. Which sucks.

Dreamcast is cool news, but most of the games can be had cheap already, not to mention the system as well.

Songs was inevitable

Halo 3 I don't care when it comes out, just that it comes out for the 360, and when It's released It's fine tuned and not buggy.

I guess it would be easier if Sega released an "official" Dreamcast Emulator for the 360...Downloadable via Live...As long as it didn´t suck as the Genesis emulator used on Sega Smash Pack Vol. 1 for the DC...

Just gimme the first Soul Calibur in 720p and Live compatible...But that would have to come from Namco...If I remeber correctly, Sega of America had the publishing rights of the game for 5 years...But I may be wrong.

Streets of Rage 2 would be nice too...

Dunno about the Dreamcast thing.. wouldn't mind it, definately wouldn't mind it.. but the WOW "rumor" seems extremely likely.

I lost all interest in the 360 the day I found out November's Playstation Magazine demo disc wasn't compatible with it.

as others have said, I'll believe it when I see it.

it would be cool to have Power Stone on 360 though. I'd love to have Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, but EA owns the Marvel license now and is all crappin' it up.
. Plus we don't even know if there is going to be another expansion for it after the Burning Crusade.
If you've ever played a MMO you know that there will be many...many...many more expansions before WoW is through. With such success of the core software they would be stupid not to. You'll just have to wait a long time for them to come out (it's blizzard after all).

Sombody is going to have to explain to me how World Of Warcraft sucks less than Final Fantasy 11. I mean, it's all stabbing at rabbits and worms to level up, right? That fu(kin FF demo on the 360 had me askin' for my tab so I could cash out when I played for 4 hours and didn't level up.

Que Paso with dat?

Good marketing plan to take away from the Nintendo launch. Granted we won't be playing 3 generations of game libraries, but the Dreamcast was not a bad system and just adds to replayability on the 360.

Dreamcast emulation is pretty unlikely, but plausible. What should really happen is Sega Genesis emulation over LIVE. Imagine playing Mega Bomberman, Gunstar Heroes, or Streets of Rage 3 over LIVE with your buddy. I'd buy the 360 tomorrow if they did that.

Though many of the best Genesis games (two of the ones in my list, even) aren't made by Sega and would require permission from the original companies. It over-complicates things so I doubt it would ever happen. Bummer.

Bullshit.

And if they do anything at all with something like this, I would not count on them going to the trouble of reprogramming games to have new online features or graphical updates.
you would need a lot bigger HD than 20 gig for more than a few sega dreamcast games
Aren't Dreamcast games around 400MB? I think you could fit quite a few on the Xbox 360 HDD. Plus, they are going to release a bigger one eventually... Maybe the emulator could use some sort of compresssion to save space? I don't know but I do think they could pull it off with permission from Sega and other IP owners.
you would need a lot bigger HD than 20 gig for more than a few sega dreamcast games
Actually the disc images are very small.

Ikaruga = 18mb
Power Stone = 200mb
Power Stone 2 = 236mb
Rez = 90mb
Zero Gunner 2 = 110mb

Cut out the actual (Out game) videos, compress the music to mp3 format and you'll make them even smaller.

This is one of the more plausible rumors. If it is only 50 DC games, it may be the DC games that fall into the lower MB limit. Expect to see some of the more simple ones. The DC had a library of close to 400 games if I remember right, and they have only picked the ones that were possible to port.

WoW on the other hand sounds entirely do-able, but Blizzard did not seem like they wanted to port it over the last I heard. A suitcase full of money may have changed that though. Finally, the way the rumor was written, it sounded like the expansion that was coming out was The Burning Crusade. It just sounded like it would be coming to the 360 a month before the PC.
