it's a great Player. Highly recomended. 10 hour battery life, bright color screen, lots of video codecs, photo viewer, custom backgrounds, no freezing. partitionable for portable storage medium. Shuffle mode can be odd sometimes but other than that for the price it's far better than an ipod. (especially since Apple lost a multimillion dollar lawsuit to Creative for unfairly using their technology.)

Sounds good. How big is it? How well do songs transfer to the player? I remember the first creative zen touch was really shitty.

Is JR.com reliable?
Pre ordered the Halo 3 Zune. Should I get this instead?
JR.com is very reliable. They're a big electronic store in NYC. Sounds like you got the Halo 3 zune for the Halo 3ness of it. If you're that big a Halo fan I would just stick with that, but this is a great deal for those who are looking for a less expensive hdd mp3 player.
Wait.. they're site is down at the moment.. But why are they selling these for $199 in the 1st place? They retail for $300 everywhere else..

This is the one right?

If so, this is a total saving of $150.. And insane! Thanks
That's the one, and the MSRP is $300 , but they regularly go for abour $220 - $250 now. $200 at amazon as well, but amazon doesn't have the rebate.

Best Buy and Circuit City also sell it for $199. I've been enjoying mine, I especially like how I don't have to convert certain video formats and the FM tuner/recorder

it's a fantastic *player*... i loved mine. however, if you are at all finicky about the screen, i would shy away. it is insanely easy, and likely, that dust will get under the screen of your system... because of the way it is built, it is far too easy for stuff to get inside the system.

the ipod doesn't have as many of the niceties that the zen:m has, but it'd a more solidly constructed player, which is why after two zens (30 and 60gb), i went with an ipod.
