Just noticed the deadline myself. I've sent a PM to Rig, but if we don't get our match in today, I'm not sure when we'll be able to play since I'm playing in round three of the GameStop tourney tomorrow and will be gone most of the day.

Still waiting to hear back from him though, so hopefully we get our games done before the deadline.
 
We can push the deadline for the first round to midnight on Saturday, does that work? As far as Ikohn4 - sorry I closed it at 16 because I didn't want it to be a big tournament as there is still the first tournament going on. I opened it up to everyone because we didn't have enough to have an easy slot fill, but then there was a rush of entries so it's full now.

So does Saturday @ midnight work for the new deadline?

Lost to Rig 3-2, 3-2. Couldn't adjust to the delay and for some reason couldn't grab the ledge on my last stock at the end of the second match. :roll:

I'd have to say let's see how it goes tonight. I PM'd everyone who hadn't posted results that the tournament was started, so we can figure things out once more results get posted.

I could extend it again (and I don't see a reason why I couldn't because there are only 16 of us), but I just want to make sure this finishes up before the other tournament does. That way there can be a clean slate and a new tournament will happen with everyone again (sooner or later).

I'll be going to a concert tonight so I'll be gone all night, so if you could play it Sunday morning I don't think it'd be a major problem. Could you get it in by Noon Sunday (I won't change the deadline, but I'll not the exception)?

I'll keep the front page updated until I go to the show and I might check back again when I get home (after midnight probably).

I beat arthurdigbysellers (stock totals were 3-1 and 3-1). When you threw down Pit I was really nervous right off, but I got a couple good side smashses in to knock off the light Pit. Good games.

lol hold on. I have to delay for the dumbest reason ever. My Wiimote is out of batteries and I don't know how to start the game without it.
 
Well I just lost pretty badly to maigoyume. I have no idea how you people deal with that kind of lag, I can barely even tell what's going on.

Lol, I love the comments after winning/losing. Reminds me of Street Fighter. Not trying to bad mouth anyone, I find it genuinely entertaining.

I was feeling it for the first minute, and then the wheels fell off. Good matches though. Completely lag free.

I need to find another player besides Pit. He's really the only character I know but I don't think he is strong enough for my playing style (or I just need to get a lot better).
 
Hey when I was playing my match yesterday I noticed that for some reason I couldnt C-stick smash is that disabled online or somthing?
 
Round Summaries: Final Destination

Round 1: (ck64) Ike vs. (EGMan) Zelda/Shiek 3-0.

This one was pretty brutal. EG wasn't able to land hardly any hits. Plus, he killed himself fairly early on with little help from me. I think it ended with me at 7% damage.

Round 2: (ck64) Ike vs. (EGman) Samus 3-1.

Round started out with both of us trading fairly even blows. We each killed each other once. After that, I was able to land a couple of solid F-Smashes and scored the second kill. On EG's last life he put up a hell of a fight and landed 3 or 4 full charged shots on me while I was on the edge. He got me up to 170% or so before I was able to recover and a charged dash attack connected giving me the win.

Round 3: (ck64) Ike vs. (EGMan) Jigglypuff 3-2.

This was the hardest match by far. He landed several charged rolling attack things on me while I would try to charge up my F+B to cancel them out. Towards the end of the match, he missed a couple of D+B rest attacks which let me use fully charged F-Smashes on him.

Good games... except the first one.
 
Just to make it clear, it is a best of 3 series. So if you win the first two then it's over. I mean feel free to play the third match for fun, but it isn't necessary.
 
Sleepy that's a nice bracket and everything, but when do you plan on playing your game? Shottiepippen, I'm looking at you and your vs. match too. Get those done ASAP please.

Ive been trying to play hero since the names were announced. But he kept saying to play on sunday night. So i just pmed him again to say im home lets play, but ive just been waiting for him.

we just played. it was super laggy but i was able to beat him 2/3. First round was all me. Second round was all him. Third was really close but i was able to pull out the W. GG's man. Now its me and you lobstah. And round 1 only has exstrike and shottiepippen to go. today is the deadline i believe.

Thanks for the update sleepy. We'll push on with round 2 and hopefully those that are behind can catch up. I'll updated the thread name and place a deadline for round 2 matches in the first post. (Figure Wednesday at Midnight)

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately due to conflicting schedules, I won't be playing my match until Wednesday now. I forgot I had a concert tomorrow night (Murder by Death) so I'll be gone all night.
 
Sleepy and I finished our matches today. The first match was really close and lasted nearly 8 minutes. We both had 200+ damage with 1 stock before I finally pulled through somehow. I won the second match as well, and sleepy won the third. Great games!
 
going to try and get my match done tm night, i never got a reply back from shottie yet for the time of the match, heres hoping
 
Ck64 beat me soundly. Great playing, I need to get better before I even play you again or else not put it on random and get characters I never use (Jiggly and Sonic).
 
Hey yea. I don't think I've used Yoshi ever until today. First match vs. your Snake was decent. Pikachu could have been rough but you killed yourself there.
