cs problem

i have a problem on the origional counter-strike....whenever i try to connect to a server it says "unable to verify steam id ticket" or something along those lines. Can anyone help?

I haven't played Counter-Strike since they moved it to 1.6, but are you using Steam or GameSpy Arcade to play it? GSA is no longer supported, but if you are using Steam, did your CS ever work before? how long ago?

im using steam and its only worked a couple of days
