Curse you, God! Jerry Orbach is dead!

He was a great man who I had the honor to work with a handful times over the last few years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
 
That came out of nowhere. He will be missed.

At the very least they will put a dedication in an upcoming Law & Order, but perhaps they will also work his character's death into a storyline.

I think he portrayed the best cop on Law & Order. I found myself regularly laughing at all his smart ass comments.
 
I am actually related to him (very very distantly).
I think he is my mom's cousin by marriage.

damn that sucks. I watch Law and Order all the time (like every weeknight and sometimes right after school). I was looking forward to his new show as well. I knew he had cancer, but last I had heard, they had caught it early on, and he was going to be ok.

Christ's beard! Now I hear that Jack Horkheimer is dying from cancer too. This isn't a good day for my favorite people.
 
Wow, I heard they had just diagnosed him a couple of weeks before christmas. I was looking forward to his new show also.
RIP Jerry Orbach.
