D2D Civilization 5 25% Off (37.50) for 2/13

Civ fanatics argue that Civ 4 is still the best Civ game out there, but it's hard to argue with 5's gorgeous interface, lack of tile stacking, and updated graphics.

till you try playing a multiplayer game or go to war with an AI that might as well be a 10 year old child.

The game is fun, but it could use another year of polish...

Ah crap. What's wrong with the multiplayer? Only considering picking it up to play with friends that have it.

No animations. Not a big deal until you realize that it means you don't get to watch any battles. So basically if you are attacked by a barb or other civ, you have NO IDEA because there's no combat zoom, either. To make matters worse, you don't even get a message that you lost a unit (or that one's engaged anyways).

Also, there is an issue with loading saved games, which may/may not have been fixed (I don't think so).

I bought 2 copies of Civ - one for me and one for the wife. We have yet to play more than 30 minutes together :(
