Dad Needs new Laptop! Please Help

Hey guys,

My dad needs a new laptop for work. He has recently been eyeing this one:

How would this be for general business needs?
Would you guys recommend any other Laptops over this one in this price range?

Keep in mind we're in Canada, so if there are any big US sales, they wouldn't apply.

well its a perfectly fine laptop but it seems a bit expensive for "general business needs". if he just needs it for occasional video conferencing, working on office documents, emails internet, etc you can get something more modest and cheaper...

something like that should be plenty good for "general business needs" and its half the price.

My uncle just bought a MAC but some applications will not run on a mac. I would not suggest a mac for business. Macs are good for multimedia. if you are going into business, get a Vaio or Dell.

Agreed although more Precisely the old ones when it was IBM Thinkpad. I just got a 1.8ghz L7700 Core 2 Duo Thinkpad X61 tablet for $650. WIN.
