Daily Digest not working

Ever since the upgrade a few months ago, I stopped getting the one post until I read it. I started getting a email every time a post was made to thread. I tried several things to get it to return to the old style, but it did not work. So after getting 30 emails in one day, I tried to change my notification to Daily Digest. No change -  I still get an alert every time a post is made. And then when I click on the latest email, instead of showing me the last read message in the thread, I always get the last message. What am I doing wrong?

I agree that the notification options are really confusing and hopefully we can make them more manageable in the near future.

Here are my settings and I get my forum daily digests once per day via email.

Not sure why that attachment won't come up, so I don't' know what you did. I'm still experimenting though.
