Okay guys, I looked at the manual, and checked Gamefaqs...what the hell am I supposed to do in Quest Mode? I don't understand how I am to clear areas and such. If someone could give a good rundown, I would really appreciate it!

(Oh, and this is a major disappointment compared to Ultramix 1 and 2...IMO)
Dude. It has FREEZEPOP. That ultimately makes it better than UM1/2.
I do kinda like Stakeout...but still, most of the songs on this version are weaksauce.
A quest mode in a Dance game .... what will they think of next?
It looks pretty repetitive...and I don't really want to do it, but there's some unlockables I need from it.

(bump)

I've walked around a few places and bought a bunch of crap...mostly puzzle pieces. Got two flags where the fanbases are really small. I think I figured out the basics, but I still don't know how I'm supposed to get the huge number of fanbases to favor me...anyone?

Oh, and I don't even know how to look or use the damn items I buy...do they do it automatically? C'mon, somebody on here must know what they're doing!

Well, I found that by using the control sticks and playing a certain song (can't remember the name right now...doh!) I can get a majority of the flags under a 100,000 target. But, I still don't know how to use items, and I don't know how I would get 100,000+ targets.

For anyone that cares, I finished quest mode a few days ago. The easiest way to do this was to play Legend of Max, Sakura, or Outer Limits on Heavy to obtain the lower fanbase flags. Then, as you buy background dancers, you gradually earn more points per song, so you can get those higher fanbase flags. You can see your items in the Options > User Profile > Quest Mode screen. (WTF were you doing Konami when you did that?!) Instead of actually dancing through all the songs, I used the controller to spin the control sticks rapidly, easily clearing each song AND getting lots of points to walk around with. Once I had all the flags, I went to the Rhode Island section of the map, because traveling between these cities only cost 120 points; basically the cheapest place to move. (Easiest, cheapest way to obtain all those stupid puzzle pieces)

Phew...what a speel. If anybody needs any help with it, I can now provide some! Good luck if you decide to dredge through it, though to get all the songs and dancers, you must.
