Surprised that it's not PS3 and 360, like Battlefield Bad Company 2 is doing.
 
Don't know if Im gonna get this one yet, but from the OPs list, it has probably one of the most unique/coolest extras so far in an LE package:

I think EA made it PS3 only because they're trying to compete with God of War III - they want the PS3 fan-base's attention.

I also think it's nice of them to include a digital version of the piece of literature (Divine Comedy) that the game is based off of.

The sound track should be great as well since it's from the BioShock composer.

Yea since its EA I thought for sure they would do the Limited Ed free upgrade for both systems.

All well still going with the :360: because I will already be able to play GoW on PS3

I really don't like it when DLC is set to come out like minutes after the game is released. It makes me feel like they're purposely leaving stuff out to charge us more. Bragging about it in the advertising of your collector's edition is just irritating.

No matter though, the game's guarnteed to be 10 within 6 months, if not quicker, and then I can get the DLC and a physical copy of the Divine Comedy if I want one for half that.

Glad to see Amazon is matching this. Now if they'd ship my order with the figure, I'd be all set :p The CAG in me just can't rationalize paying over $10 more (after taxes) for some tiny figurine.

@Serpentor: It looks to be GS exclusive unfortunately. It was a bonus there before the LE was ever announced, so I'd imagine it's their incentive for the game, rather than a pack-in for the LE.

From the 4 pictures of the figure, it does look cool and i believe it can fetch quite some cash on eBay. I don't know what to think, a part of me what to save money, but the other part wants the damn figure. Maybe wait...

Amazon very, very rarely gets pre-order figures. Other than an occasional plush or figure from obscure JRPG publishers, I have never known them to give out bonus figures for pre-orders unless they are packed in with the collector's edition to begin with.

People are factoring in tax and shipping, plus Amazon items can end up in your Gold Box, so you could actually save $10-$15 off of Gamestop if you live in a state with tax and everything lines up for you.

Sweet, i pre-ordered it from the EA Store (Sim Cards FTW), but i wasn't sure if i was guna get it. It looks like i probably will, nice, just hope EA isn't slow to ship.

Still makes little sense. Free shipping from amazon. Plus if you were a true CAG you would factor in the cost of gas into the price of a game and you would buy all of your games at least a year late. I doubt this one will stay full price for a long time, especially seeing it's release window next to the juggernaut. Going with amazon is the cheapest, without an ugly figure of course. Still doesn't explain the $10 more comments though. But I digress....

After hearing about this PS3 version, it's definitely on my radar now. Although the demo today could totally change my mind either way, like bayonetta did...yeck. I just hope it's a good clone.

That makes no sense, GameStop charges shipping and tax too, and most states for Amazon don't charge tax, and i'm pretty sure they don't charge shipping for this, since it's over $25.

I think you are reading my post in reverse, as well as the previous posts in reverse. Everyone is saying it's about $10 or more cheaper at Amazon. If you want the figure, you have to buy from GS or GC and that will run you roughly $10 more with tax, shipping or gas, etc...Personally, I'd rather have the $10 and could care less about a figure which will sit in a storage box.

My bad. Since i already have it pre-ordered, i was probably just going to get the figure on eBay for $5-$10 if i really want it.
 
Eh... most of the extras are digital. I'm getting sick of all this digital crap. I can understand making videos downloadable but at least give us the soundtrack on a CD and make the artbook an actual artbook.:roll:

I have this preordered from amazon for $36 (gold box + old eca + discover card promo). Even so, I was considering canceling just because there's so much coming out in Feb. Looks like they just talked me into keeping the preorder. :)

Says who?

Just because a figure or something comes with a game doesnt guarntee it will be worth alot. I dont think this limited edition is going to be actually limited enough for people to go apepoopy over a figure nor popullar enough to be worth trying to get money out of it. Even things like the bionic commando luncboxes that looked sweet dont sell for crap and you could only get them from game crazy if you pre order.

Game promos are fickle things, can never tell what will be worth anything.

Resistance 2 was a fairly big name game and figure with it and they never sold well, hell you can still find the CE with the figure in it in stores.

Not to mention it doesnt look very good, kind of bland and generic really. Kind like some reject from mcfarlane toys.

Besides, who the hell buys a game with the idea in mind of making money off it? If you do then your not a real gamer.
 
The demo is on PSN now, and... I'm surprised. This is pretty damn good. It's extremely similar to GoW to the point of ripping it off/cloning it, but it works. The camera isn't as up and close as it is in GoW, which means it's a bit easier to keep track of everything.

I might have to pick this up :/

Only the 2 easy difficulties were available, but ultimately if the trophies force you to play on Infernal... I may not buy it lol. God damn.
