Kind of a lame deal that you have to use the credit for a specific game, but might be a good deal for some.

Is that credit supposed to be whats making this a deal of the day? Because that game has been 42.99 on amazon for like a week.
 
yeah when i saw the DotD i was confused too since its been that price for a while, so i checked the page and saw that promotion.
 
I find it funny that DarkSiders being a Multi-Plat game give you $10 credit towards a 360 exclusive . If I am wrong please excuse me lol
 
Ya, I ordered it off of GS because their deal was pretty sweet. I got it for $38 shipped and a $10 credit for any future purchase. Metro 2033 looks like it could be cool but if I get it, it probably wouldn't be till it is pretty cheap.

Only for the 360 version -- the PS3 version has been stuck at $54.99.

That's exactly how I see it as well. Metro 2033 is also coming out for PC, so it's possible the credit could be applied towards that. The icon on the Darksiders page clearly shows the 360 version, but following the link takes you to a page with both the 360 and PC versions listed.

Still, I concur with every else's sentiment: the deal isn't that great, and there're too many hoops to jump through. Sorry, Amazon, I'll hold on to my cash a wee bit longer.
 
I have seen this deal previously on Amazon and i have to say am not impressed at all.

I know, it's almost like Half Life 2 ep.3 is announced to be released in 2010.
GS has Darksiders for $39.99, 10% off coupon, free shipping code and $10 online store credit for future purchase. It rang up to $38.15 for me.

I know plus Duke Nukem Forever is finally going to be released this June and Microsoft is recalling all :360:'s made prior to Jasper. Seriously, people the sky is falling run for your lives.
