Darrell Russell dies in car accident

how do you hit a curb, tree, newsstand, fire hydrant, light pole and another tree and STILL require a bus to stop? He must have been going damn near the speed of sound!

Very sad story. I rememeber when he got drafted and he played excellent, then he starting going into drugs and if I remember got suspended for a year or something for beating his wife or gf. Anyone find it weird that Barret Robbins and Darrel Rusell have problems and both played for the Raiders?
 
Well, the crash was so bad they couldn't even identify the driver, good god damn. What were these apes doing, running from the cops? idiots, good thing they didnt hurt anybody else.

The girl sued him in court but I dont know what the outcome of the trial was.

He was not convicted, duh he's a pro athlete. The story on Yahoo said that he was the one filming two other people raping her though. I doubt he got into drugs after entering the NFL, he probably had addictions and was involved with them for years but did not get caught. It is a shame that someone's career could be derailed like that.

Come on, it's not just the Raiders. There are a lot of teams that have had players suspended or in the news about drug problems. It's not just centered on 1 team.
 
I remember him. Had good potential if he didn't get into all these things.

Great player on Madden though. No need to worry about all his problems in the game. :D

First I was going to say that I hope someone says the same about you when you die; however, after reading the article I must say that we're probably better off without a guy that videotapes his friends raping or possibly fucking a drunk girl who had no control over what/who she is doing.

At first I read the title as Russell Simmons for some reason, that would've been most tragic.

yeah, I just have no tolerance for people who put the lives of those around them in danger. Who the eff does he think he is? Speeding (or drag racing like is believed) like a jackass and crashing his car like that is unbelievably irresponsible and I shudder to think that some innocent kid could have been run over just because that douchebag's brain doesn't work.
