Darwin film 'too controversial for religious America'
Nobody asks for things like this without an ulterior motive. The topic is about Darwin and evolution and you are asking about me?

Well fine, I'll humour you. I just finished college math with a B+, at year round schooling.
I just want to round out your image.

College Math? What type of math is college math? College Algebra? Calculus? Linear Algebra? Discrete Mathematics?
Differential Equations? Statistics/Probability?

It was 'the probability of how many people fatherofcaitlyn asks personal questions about'.

There is no reason why you would ask these questions. I'm not stupid, I'm not answering anymore questions about myself. You got your answer, you won't get anymore. The topic isn't about this is it?

Gallup poll has been very accurate in the past, and has little to no criticism of their sampling methods. I'd trust gallup above all else. rasmussen a close second.

No it's necessary to ask this. People have spent years designing these polls taking into account the fact that they are meant to give you an idea of what the general population thinks. Suddenly he thinks he's so wise questioning the VERY EXISTENCE OF POLLS by saying oh sample size too small sample method not good.
So if one poll was to say that a majority believed in evolution and one said a majority didn't, and both used different methods of polling, then are they both right too?

Because again, this topic is based on somebody saying that America is too religious for a movie about Darwin, and basing it on gallup polls...
If both polls use different methods of computing the statistics, yes they can both be right. Different methods of analysis create different results.

Here is where i think we have the problem. You cannot compare two polls which were not conducted in the same manner. Gallup and Rasmussen don't use the same methods.

For example, those polls which ask people to call or write in, don't believe statistics which are culled from polls like that. They shouldn't be trusted because only people with an interest in the subject would bother calling or writing in.

He's trying to gauge your understanding of statistics.

...I'm sorry.. but... it's just so lonely now :O

Wow, can't believe I read most of all 9 pages. Very entertaining. Anyway, Got to see the film. Loved it. Loved how it made most religions look that much more insane. Especially, since being surrounded by Scientology buildings here...

Oh, yeah... suppose it's a real slow day here as well...
