DDR2 memory for Laptop

CAHP19

CAGiversary!
I'm looking for a 4 gb kit of DDR2 memory for my Macbook Pro, specifically type PC2-5300 DDR2. I looked on newegg, where it runs about $80. However, many of the reviews talk about how great it is to spend $50 for the 4 gb kit, leading me to believe the price has drastically jumped recently. Any other suggestions?

That's about the right price these days, unfortunately. I just spent about half that to get a 2GB stick of 6400 for my netbook.

Uh, that's not flash memory, it's normal DDR2 RAM memory.

DDR2 memory is slowing being replaced by DDR3 memory with newer chips and chipsets, so it's being produced less and therefore driving the cost up.

Check Newegg.com often for the price of RAM and see what you can find.

I bought my set from Newegg.com, this was over a year ago but I want to say I payed around 50-60 bucks.

Looking now, seems as if prices have risen. Maybe check eBay?
