dang, I really wanted a free gift card, but I have no idea what the questions are asking, and would feel bad throwing off their research, as I am currently involved in research myself.
 
Man, their survey data is going to really be screwed up with the amount of people randomly answering questions.

I do work in IT, but I'm not involved in "data migration" nor do I knwo anything about what my company does in this situation...ha ha ha!
 
Yeah, if you guys are going to FW his survey, you should just use the above link rather than FUBAR his results, which are probably already hopelessly wrecked.

Of course, I wouldn't know the answers to questions about technical aspects of business law, so I guess it's not shocking that you're unsure of what's going on with those questions.

Have you ever seen a data migration go haywire when dealling with a huge multiuser environment, clog up a network and nearly bring all of the network servers with it? It's not a pretty sight.
Actually, it's a terrible situation that usually requires rallying a couple dozen/hundred people (depending on the scale of your effort) having to go in, redo a few things manually and generally pull some wicked amounts of overtime (usually unpaid).
 
I hope all of your data gets sold to the highest bidder and you now get clusterbombed with emails, postal mail and phonecalls due to your ill gotten gains. This is no better than non-retail employees trying to sneak thier way into Microsoft's retailer promotions.

Please don't mess up this guys data or apply for a gift card you don't deserve. Don't be a selfish jerk.

um, sort of serious... I don't know too much about computers or what systems are run at work but I can at least answer a few of the straightforward ones...

That does make sense... not everyone is going to know the technical aspects of everything, especially if it has no bearing on thier job.

Most likely, all you are going to do is kill this promotion.

Now, considering the number of you that have posted, and the number that will submit for it later, especially if it hits fatwallet and other sites, you'll likely see this promo vanish immediately.
 
I transferred data from my old HD to my new one last year. It was a pain since the old one wasnt recognized by the new pc but i did a bunch of fiddling to finally get it.

However, there is a subset of the people in the first group actively struggle against being one. That's the subset I exist in.
I know what I am, and I strive against being it, with varying degrees of success.

Woah, is it possible to answer every question with the anser you absolutly know? Some of these questions confuse me.

EDIT: Just had a friend do it for me... he understood what it was talkign about.
 
Someone really ought to send the guy running the survey a link to this thread. At least let him know that his results are going to be screwed up because some people here seem to value $15 so much.

thats what I was wondering... unless blockbuster is intrested in the conclusions also.
 
Blockbuster doesn't care about the results of this in any way, shape or form. They have no relation to this promotion at all.
 
Well, ya i know that and I already compelted the survey. But was wondering if anyone was getting their GC
