To fans of 24 and Simpsons, I just picked up Season 1 -4 of 24 for $16 each, and Simpsons Season 1-8 $16 each going on at Target. Better hurry your ass up, at my store there was only a few copies left!

Deal ends today, so likely most are gone, hurry and check!

Tons of copies of all the seasons of 24 at my store, but thanks for the heads up, I got Season 4 for less than I got the first three last year ($20)!
 
Yep, I saw them there today but the checkout lines were too long for me. Sale ends Saturday, so I plan on going back to get them, and if they're sold out, I'll get a rain check.

It's listed as a 3 day sale, not a special "doorbuster 1 day special" so rain checks are allowed.
 
I went to pick up the Simpsons and Family Guy sets that were advertised so it was definitely a nice surprise to see the other seasons on sale!
 
Sweet!!! Thanks for the post. I've been waiting for a good deal on the 24 TV series. Went down and picked up seasons 1-4. Also got: Ultraviolet, and two Harry Potter movies each for $3.98, and Mission Impossible 3 for $8.99. Thanks for the great post!
 
I don't know if this is YMMV, but the majority of the 3.98 movies at mine were fullscreen versions. The widescreens rang up full price. Boo-urns!
 
Yup, most are Full screen.....

MY Target said they had a huge mistake in the DVD section and they were carting out movies as the time went. This poor lady was stuck surrounded by people trying to grab dvds off the boxes she was trying to wheel out and put on the shelf..

But the people were pretty decent and didnt yell or anything.

O and the boxes were mostly Full Screen movies if you had a choice...

Maybe the price was indicated wrong at the store, but I only saw Simpsons season 7 and 8 for $16, all others were regular price- but I'll go back again and make sure tomorrow, cause that's a cheap way to finish my collection :)

I was so happy it was all 24 seasons. I picked up 1-4 for $16 each after going in thinking I was just getting 1 for $16, and I got Simpsons 8 for $16 since I already have 1-7.

Yep nationwide.

Every Simpsons set was sold out here but they had tons of 24's.
 
Was at my local Target around 6 this evening. All Simpsons sets seemed to be in good stock. Grabbed S7 and S8. Also Grabbed Batman Begins for $3.98 and National Treasure for $5.98. Great stuff!
 
i was in Target yesterday(Friday) and picked up Family Guy Vol.3 for the price. i was goin to pick up some of the Simpsons but changed my mind
 
Just picked up 24 Seasons 2 and 3. They didn't have 4 or I would've gotten that too.

All were marked at regular price, but I scanned them and they came up at $16 no problem.

I'm so mad right now. When to Target and 24 seasons 2 and 3 were sold out. Ugh, just got season 4. (had Season 1 from last year's black friday, 15 dollars)
 
Damnit, I'm angry now. I was just at Target yesterday, picking through the few DVDs they had left. They had tons and tons of Family Guy vol 1-2, but nothing advertised that said they were on sale. They only had a sign that said vol 3 was $16, and of course all of those were gone. Is this deal still running today? Because if it is, I'm gonna go grab those sets right now, and probably get an extra as a Christmas gift.
 
Picked up 24 S3 & 4 today, $16 each. Added bonus, I didn't know Batman Begins was 3.99, and Pirates of the Caribbean 2DVD set was 5.99, picked up 2 each of those, one for me and one as a gift.

Was going to pick up Underworld Evolution and all the Harry Potter movies for $3.99 each, but saw they were all fullscreen only.
 
i got Memoirs of a Geisha and Batman Begins both WS for $3.98 apiece...sold out of 24 Seasons. If anyone has a copy of Season 4 they'd like to unload for a slight commission, let me know.
 
Picked up family guy 1-3 and simpsons 7 and 8

i felt like a frickin bandit raiding that rack...shame fam guy 4 rang up at 34 =/ no go on that one
 
how are you getting rain checks these are TEMP Price drops wont give out rainchecks here

Though i did pick up 24 season 4 (now i have all 4 seasons) yet i havent watched one single show of them LOL

They've given rainchecks on OOS dvd's on their post thanksgiving sale for at least the last 3 thres years. They don't give rainchecks on items that say in the ad -get this- NO RAINCHECKS

usually near the end of sat. they have the slips that you check out with and the cashier isses a raincheck. I grabbed extras last year (on stuff I didn't want) to give family and friends if they mentioned they were going to buy them later.

I got rainchecks last year as well, so I asked about them this year and was told they don't give them for Temporary Price Cuts.

For those who can't pick up 24 Season 4, it's back at buy.com and eligible for free shipping. $22 shipped after Google Checkout if you don't feel like getting your total above $50 (I bought it with Whisper of the Heart and got both for around $33 shipped). Still a pretty good deal for the set.

Check buy.com for the Simpsons sets, too. I think 1-6 are $18 each, and 7 and 8 are $23. Three of the $18 seasons come out to just under $40 shipped after GCO.
 
Went to Target, sold out on everything except 24 S4. Was pissed so I decided to order off buy.com with GCO. Not bad, both 24 S2 and S3 for 49 dollars (including shipping and GCO)

This is a tremendous deal. I'm short in cash, but I'm so picking up all the 24 just for all the fervor and great praise it receives. Fry's had them for $25, but I wasn't going to budge until I could get the show for $19.99 like I have for most TV releases/Fox TV. Still need Simpsons 7/8 so I may just get those two as well.

And this should be going on tomorrow, right?

I was able to score all 4 seasons of 24 although I had to hit 5 seperate targets to do so. Seems that they all had season 1 but others were cleared out.

As for how long the sale is supposed to last I did notice the last Target I was at had just pulled all the tags stating the $16.00 price. But they still rang up the sale price. Since Sunday starts a new sales week I would think the sale ended Saturday night.

Damn it, this show is brining up memorys of the sopranos. I had no idea what it was about and then out of nowhere its 3 in the f'n morning and you've just watched half a season.

Oh man, you're absolutely right! They're *very* addicting! "Just one more episode"--heh, we said that to ourselves too!!

BTW, it's better to watch with someone else that hasn't seen the show--lots to discuss about what's going on.
