I don't have info on the deal FatherChesz was referring to but it seems like this would be a deal only if you wanted the Pokemon branded system and carrying case. The DSi/XL is going to get a price drop on May 20th to $99.99/$129.99 and Pokemon Black is just under $31 on Amazon atm. Going a la carte you can choose the color of the system and Pokemon game but miss out on the branded system and carrying case.

I would hold out and get either a 3DS or DSi XL. I don't see any reason to get a DSi, there aren't any advantages.

Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll hold out and pick up a good condition second hand one down the line then or suck it up and wait for black friday. Also I knew about that from the Target clearance thread. My Target never has anything console wise or controller wise for clearance. I check mine every Monday and Thursday but I'm lucky just to see maybe 5 games at all in the clearance wall every week.
Edit: I also check the video game department too for price drops and clearance items so people know.

Thanks, I wasn't sure. I know I don't wanna go to old if the older models wont play some of the newer DS games but that was about it.

I saw this bundle at a KMart in my area a few weeks back and I believe it was priced very similarly. It is, of course, very YMMV.

Nintendo is planning on dropping DSi price for 100 dollars
and the DSi XL to 130 dollars
The only thing in here you get is a free carrying case because the game itself can be bought for 30 dollars and the DSi now for 100 dollars.

Saw that bundle at Target, a few weeks back. Pokemon black with black DS. Had some type of design on it.
It was, ACTUALLY, slapped on the clearance end cap!!!!!! With a horriddddd spiderwrap around it!!!!!!!
