What is My WishList?
My WishList is a program from American Express that offers limited quantities of some of the most sought-after items at incredible Cardmember-only prices, as well as featured products with great savings, and limited-time, limited-supply Wish Certificates. It's our way of saying "thanks" to our Cardmembers.

How does My WishList work?

  1. HOT PRODUCTS
    • Inventory is released three times a day at 12pm, 3pm, and 7pm ET
    • In-demand items at incredible prices
    • Very limited quantities
    • Available first-come, first-served while supplies last
    • To try for a Hot Product, you must verify eligibility by first unlocking the Hot Product box. Click the “Unlock” button and enter your Card information at any time during the Promotion Period
    • Once you have unlocked the Hot Product box, click “I WANT IT” to try to get a Hot Product
    • If successful, you will have six minutes to complete your transaction
    • If you are not successful, more may become available after initial release if other Cardmembers either cancel their order or are unable to complete their transaction within six minutes
    • Click through the calendar to preview upcoming items. You can even sign up for an e-mail Reminder or Tell A Friend
  2. FEATURED PRODUCTS
    • Inventory is released once per day at 10am ET and is available 24/7 while supplies last
    • Great products at Cardmember-only prices
    • New items added throughout the program
    • Available first-come, first-served while supplies last (generally higher inventory than Hot Products)
    • To try for a Featured Product, you must verify eligibility by first unlocking the Featured Product box. Click the “Unlock” button and enter your Card information at any time during the Promotion Period
    • Once you have unlocked the Featured Product box, click “I WANT IT” to try to get the Featured Product
  3. WISH CERTIFICATES
    • Inventory is released three times a day at 11am, 2pm, and 6pm ET
    • High-value offer certificates for savings up to 25% at name-brand merchants
    • Available first-come, first-served at no cost to you while supplies last
    • To try for a Wish Certificate, you must verify eligibility by first unlocking the Wish Certificate box. Click the “Unlock” button and enter your Card information at any time during the Promotion Period
    • Once you have unlocked the Wish Certificate box, click “I WANT IT” to try to get a Wish Certificate
    • If successful, you will have six minutes to complete your transaction
    • If you are not successful, more may become available after initial release if other Cardmembers either cancel their order or are unable to complete their transaction within six minutes

You have to have a American Express card, go to their site in the link above and enter your card number to unlock the deals. Then when the time comes for each deal as explained above you click "want it" and see if you got the deal or not. Kinda random if you win.

More like half a second. I clicked I want it as soon as it hit 0:00 on the countdown and got the "all items in others carts" bs.

EDIT: Did anyone here get the Amazon code? If so does it appear to be specific or a general code. I am thinking that for a company like Amazon it is a general code because making that many specific 1 time use codes would be daunting. If you already used it please post it for us to "test" it to see (if you are willing too). Thanks.

yeah, that one-second "sold out" crap is bullshit. I dont really think they give anything away. There must be very little of each item for it to sell out in a couple seconds.
 
is there a cap to the savings for that amazon code? Most retail CC promotions i've seen are very sleezy like the ebay one that says you can save 15% off your purchase if you sign up for their visa card but in the finer print the maximum you can save is $30. Pretty sure the Amazon CC is something similar, so im assuming the promotion here is just as stupid.


edit-found it, its capped at $125. not bad but you arent exactly going to "go to town" either.
 
Damn, I would have loved to get in on one of those G1's but I was at work and not near a computer to try to get one anyway.
 
I can't believe I actually scored the Amazon code earlier! For those that are wondering, it's capped at $125, so the best deal is buying $500 worth of stuff.

I had an order in for a Navigon GPS which I promptly canceled and reordered. Here was my haul:

Navigon 7200T GPS
Caselogic 4.3" case for the GPS
2 x Bracketron friction pads for GPS
Steet Figher Tribute Book
Okami Official Complete Works Book
Mad Catz SF4 Fightstick TE for 360

All for a grand total of $366. Can't beat that! And I got a free Wired subscription to boot. Man I love Amazon...and AMEX :)

Wow, you actually got through. I have been trying like crazy to get the Amazon Code but cant get through. I have tried click "I Want It" as soon as the timer hit zero, with 1 second and with 2 seconds left and all the trials I have gone through took forwever to load and then says all are taken.

Just curious when did you click the "I Want It' button and get through. Thanks for the info.
 
I think it's a crap shoot to be honest. This time around, I clicked one second before hand and it went through. I was absolutely shocked. I think I've tried this at least once a year for the past few years. Last year I got some spa set for my gf, which I'm not sure she used. A few years before that, I got some stupid "ugly dolls" lol.

I used firefox too, since I'm sure people will ask what browser. Also, the coupon doesn't apply with other offers. I tried combining it with the $100 off blu-ray player deal, but it was a no go.
 
I got the bike today but the shipping kinda killed it. It came out to $290. I had second thoughts after I ordered and called customer service but they wouldn't let me cancel. I guess it's not a bad deal but it wasn't the great deal I though it'd be. Can't believe they charged me $100 shipping that's kinda bs. Oh well.
