Purchase a digital download copy of Appleseed for $1.99. This is a full, watch it forever copy, download to PC (or, in my case, Tivo)...

It actually costs $1 more to rent it than to buy it right now.

I didn't think it was so bad. I've never pulled the trigger for a DVD/Bluray, but for $2, I'll give it some space on my Tivo...

Why did you mark this as Dead? If you actually click on the movie and it takes you to the "Amazon Video-on-demand" page, it still says "Buy Now w/ 1click" for $1.99.

Deal isn't dead, although you will still get charged 9.99 for the movie, if you click the 1.99 tab to buy and call amazon they will give you the difference back on the account.

Since I'd already bought it, when I click on it, I just get the option to play. I guess I could have logged out and looked, but I went with the report.

Since you've got to call in, I've changed it to say YMMV. It's also listed at $6.99 now, so someone let me know if this is still working for anyone.

I'm not seeing $1.99 anywhere anymore except for the 7-day rental. It's showing 6.99 on both the main page and the secondary page... Since I've already purchased it at $1.99 I have no way to confirm if you're still able to get a refund of the difference since it's not listed at $1.99 anywhere...
