[DEAD] Call of Duty: Ghosts Prestige Edition $119.99 ($80 off) @ BB PS3 ONLY

It looks like BestBuy.com will let me cancel the 12 Month Xbox Live component of this deal and just get the Prestige or Hardened edition for a total of $64 since the item total is $59.99 for the Xbox Live.  Has anyone had experience doing this?  Will it mess up the other pricing if I cancel that component of the bundle?

I wouldn't mess with it myself, just be happy you were able to score one. I thought about doing it, but hell ill pay $130 for Prestige edition and a year of live, no complaints from me!

Yep, you were right. I have both the Prestige and Hardened edition ordered, so I figured I would take a chance with the Hardened. I called and they told me it does not affect the other pricing when you remove the Xbox Live Membership. However, apparently the customer service person was uninformed and once I had them process it, I immediately noticed that the price jumped. I should have left it alone. After complaining, they said they would do some manual adjustment on the account since he gave me bad information on cancelling. It's still not showing up, so i'm skeptical on whether it will actually happen or i'll just have to return the item.

The moral of the story is to let sleeping dogs lie...

Ugh, what a dumb move! Hopefully they fix it for you.

Based on what I've seen, the TIV for Limited Editions are almost never proportionally correct. It might be $10 higher or something - but not nearly high enough if you wanted to flip it.

The TIV for the game itself will probably get bumped up anywhere from $30-40 at some point.

The Prestige Edition will probably be lucky if it's $50-$60. Even if the resale prices are $200 it won't matter.

 
Has anyone else got the Xbox Live 12M yet?  I got my but it gives me an error when I try to enter it.  Just wondering if its just me, or everyone got a bad code.

I ordered three of these and all my codes worked except one of the 12m live codes. BB told me to contact MS which I haven't had time to do yet.

 
I ordered the PS3 version, but I' m really not interested. I'm offering it up to another CAG for $130 shipped. Paypal only. If there is no interest I will just return it Monday.

FYI... Best Buy crushed the right side of the box before it shipped, but it shouldn't have affected the contents. I can send pics.

I looked at the title and thought "this is a deal?" Seriously, why the hell are these games so overpriced? Man, next gen is going to be freaking expensive if you like limited, special, or collector's edition. Christ, at this rate, by 2016 collector's edition will be hitting $500 for every other AAA game. Next gen hasn't been released yet, yet it already has two or more collector's editions over $200.

You're right when collectors editions almost cost as much as a console is pretty nuts but some have legit fun items that interest people. My 2 latest deals were the full remote control plane from splinter cell and this one with its 1080p camera with memory card.
 
totally forgot this came with a 12month xbox live code got it in my email a few days ago.. a few days after I already purchased a code from buy.com for $40
