anybody recall a deal better than that for firefly? i thought it was super cheap at some point last year but cant remember.

best price amazon has ever had was a DOTD june 15 for 39.99.

I thought it was target that had the cheap deal actually. no idea if they charge for shipping. im gonna check if no shipping im ordering the set.

Talked it over with my wife and ordered Firefly. It's on backorder currently, but great price otherwise. Neither of us has seen the show before, but we love watching Nathan Fillion in Castle and enjoy science fiction.
 
Yep, best I've ever seen it was around $35 after coupon while it was on sale at BN.com. This would have been a better deal than that though since they charged sales tax and shipping.

For those wondering about upgrading from DVD there are a few extra features, a recently shot 30-minute roundtable with the creator and 3 other cast members (Fillion, Tudyk, Glass) and an additional episode commentary featuring those same four.

You've made the right choice. Castle is fun because of Nathan Fillion. Not that it is a bad show, but without him it would be pretty generic.

Firefly could actually stand on its own without him. Now,..add Nathan Fillion back in.
 
damn wish I would have seen this ben they had the deal. I don't have the money now even if it was still going on but I did when it was posted.
 
Such a cool show and a great price too. Unfortunately I almost never re-watch TV shows which tends to make me go the rental route.

funny. i was thinking when the heck they were going to send me this. i checked my email account i sometimes use and they said they shipped it out on the 11th. what's even funnier is that the description in my invoice has

first season?! but the item number matches the full season. did you see this in your order, anyone else? we'll see what arrives at my door...i'll be pretty POed if it's just the first season.
 
Uh, Firefly only made it to 11 episodes before it was cancelled. Less than one season.. So I wouldn't expect a second season, seeing as it hasn't been made. ;)

Same with me... except for this show. I don't know what it is about it, but I can pop in Firefly several times a year and it's still incredibly enjoyable. Even better now that I have it on Blu.
