gkleinman, founder of DVDTalk, will provide details at midnight tonight (6/16). I will update this topic as more information develops. Odds are that it is this weekend, but I don't know for certain. Sorry to jump the gun and post with so little information, but I know not everyone here reads DVDTalk, and I wanted to provide a heads-up.

Anyone interested in the sale should prepare their wishlist as soon as possible. DDD slows down considerably during these sales (at least, it has in the past), so it is best to have a list of what you want before it starts.

Is that 20% off what they already offer? I held off picking up the Criterion "Life Aquatic" 2-Disc just yesterday. They are the cheapest at $22.xx. Would be nice to get it for under $20. :D
 
Crap! Can't they wait like a month!?! I've spent sooooooo much money lately and just now starting to tone it down. Could I possibly hold out until the second one in November/December?

They occassionally bump up some of their prices during the sale, so there is no way to guarantee that the price on Life Aquatic will remain the same. I got mine from CompUSA for $14.99 during release week. /brag
 
I've been putting off getting Smallville season 1 and 2 for this very reason.

I think I will pick up Napoleon Dynamite, and a few WWE DVDs as well.

I just bought an HDTV myself, so I cleaned up my wishlist a bit. Got it under $1k post-discount, should be able to get it under $900 with a little more work. :cool:
 
my wishlist has been building up since the last sale was over....i thought this sale was supposed to happen the week of july 4th....im pissed now cuz im not financially ready for this...DAMNIT!!!
 
i appreciate the heads up. i was kind of expecting it this weekend or next, so my wishlist is pretty solid, but i'm going to have to go through and probably add a few things.

on a sidenote I just want to make sure this is current cause a couple days ago I was on slickdealz and they had this date posted and I got all excited but it was a bump on last years post for the specific date for the 6/17-6/25. I just hope this person did not fall for the same mistake that I did

This is the first time I've really been able to take advantage of a DDD sale. Last time I barely dropped $200. :cry:

All of that stuff I either own or wouldn't want to own (or just ordered). My collection isn't nearly as massive as yours, but I do try to maintain some abstract quality level. :lol:
